પણ યહોવાએ ઇસ્રાએલના નામને ધરતીના પડ પરથી ભૂંસી ન નાખવાનો નિશ્ચય કર્યો હતો, આથી તેમણે યોઆશના પુત્ર યરોબઆમ મારફત તેમણે તેઓને વિજય અપાવ્યા.
