Exodus 16 - BBE (Gujarati)

1 And they went on their way from Elim, and all the children of Israel came into the waste land of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they went out of the land of Egypt.ઇસ્રાએલીઓના સમગ્ર સમાંજે એલીમથી યાત્રાનો આરંભ કર્યો અને તેઓ એલીમ અને સિનાઈની વચ્ચે આવેલા સીનના રણપ્રદેશમાં આવ્યા. મિસરમાંથી નીકળ્યા પછી બીજા મહિનાનો તે 15 મો દિવસ હતો.

2 And all the children of Israel were crying out against Moses and Aaron in the waste land:તે પછી ઇસ્રાએલના બધા લોકોએ મૂસા અને હારુનની વિરુદ્ધ ફરીથી ફરિયાદ કરવાની શરૂઆત કરી.

3 And the children of Israel said to them, It would have been better for the Lord to have put us to death in the land of Egypt, where we were seated by the flesh-pots and had bread enough for our needs; for you have taken us out to this waste of sand, to put all this people to death through need of food.તે લોકોએ મૂસા અને હારુનને કહ્યું, “કઈ નહિ તો આપણે માંસથી ભરેલા વાસણ પાસે પેટ ભરાય ત્યાં સુધી ખાતા બેઠા હતાં. જો યહોવાએ અમને મિસરમાં માંરી નાખ્યા હોત તો સારું થાત. તમે તો સમગ્ર સમાંજને ભૂખે માંરી નાખવા આ રણમાં લાવ્યા છો.”

4 Then the Lord said to Moses, See, I will send down bread from heaven for you; and the people will go out every day and get enough for the day's needs; so that I may put them to the test to see if they will keep my laws or not.ત્યારે યહોવાએ મૂસાને કહ્યું, “હું આકાશમાંથી તમાંરા લોકો માંટે અનાજનો વરસાદ વરસાવીશ. અને આ બધા લોકોએ પ્રતિદિન બહાર નીકળીને તે દિવસ પૂરતું અનાજ વીણી લાવવું. જેને કારણે હું તેમની પરીક્ષા કરી શકું કે તેઓ માંરા નિયમ પ્રમાંણે વર્તશે કે નહિ.

5 And on the sixth day they are to make ready what they get in, and it will be twice as much as they get on the other days.રોજ લોકો એક દિવસ પૂરતું જ અનાજ ભેગું કરે, પરંતુ છઠ્ઠા દિવસે રોજ કરતાં બમણું ભેગું કરીને રાંધી રાખવું.”

6 And Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, This evening it will be clear to you that it is the Lord who has taken you out of the land of Egypt:એટલા માંટે મૂસા અને હારુને ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોને કહ્યું, “આજે રાત્રે તમે યહોવાની શક્તિ જોશો, અને તમને ખબર પડશે કે મિસર દેશમાંથી તમને લોકોને બચાવીને બહાર લાવનાર તે યહોવા છે.

7 And in the morning you will see the glory of the Lord; for your angry words against the Lord have come to his ears: and what are we that you are crying out against us?કાલે સવારે તમે લોકો યહોવાનું ગૌરવ જોશો કારણ કે તેમણે તેમની વિરુદ્ધની તમાંરી ફરિયાદ સાંભળી છે, તમે હમેશા અમને ફરિયાદ કરો છો, હવે કદાચ અમને થોડો આરામ મળે.”

8 And Moses said, The Lord will give you meat for your food at evening, and in the morning bread in full measure; for your outcry against the Lord has come to his ears: for what are we? your outcry is not against us but against the Lord.પછી મૂસાએ તેમને કહ્યું, “યહોવા, સાંજે તમને માંસ ખાવા માંટે આપશે, વળી સવારે ઘરાઈને ખાવા માંટે રોટલી આપશે, કારણ કે તમે તેમની વિરુદ્ધ જે ફરિયાદો કરો છો તે તેમણે સાંભળી છે. પણ હવે કદાચ અમને થોડો આરામ મળે. યાદ રાખજો કે તમાંરી ફરિયાદ અમાંરી વિરુદ્ધ નથી, પણ યહોવાની વિરુદ્ધ છે.”

9 And Moses said to Aaron, Say to all the people of Israel, Come near before the Lord for he has given ear to your outcry.પછી મૂસાએ હારુનને કહ્યું, “તું ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોને સંબોધન કર, ‘તેમને કહે, યહોવાની સમક્ષ સૌ ભેગા થાઓ, કારણ કે તેમણે તમાંરી ફરિયાદો સાંભળી છે.”

10 And while Aaron was talking to the children of Israel, their eyes were turned in the direction of the waste land, and they saw the glory of the Lord shining in the cloud.હારુને ઇસ્રાએલના સમગ્ર લોકસમુદાયને સંબોધન કર્યું; તે બધા એક જ સ્થાન પર ભેગા થયા હતા. તે સભાને કહેતો હતો તે દરમ્યાન તેમણે રણ તરફ જોયું, તો તે લોકોને વાદળમાં યહોવાનાં ગૌરવનાં દર્શન થયાં,

11 And the Lord said to Moses,યહોવાએ મૂસાને કહ્યું,

12 The outcry of the children of Israel has come to my ears: say to them now, At nightfall you will have meat for your food, and in the morning bread in full measure; and you will see that I am the Lord your God.“મેં ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોની ફરિયાદ સાંભળી છે; એટલા માંટે તેમને કહો કે, ‘સાંજે તમે માંસ ખાશો અને સવારે તમે રોટલી ઘરાઈને ખાશો; અને તમને વિશ્વાસ થશે કે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા હું છું.”‘

13 And it came about that in the evening little birds came up and the place was covered with them: and in the morning there was dew all round about the tents.તે રાત્રે એવું બન્યું કે લાવરીઓએ ઊડી આવીને છાવણી ઢાંકી દીધી; અને સવારમાં છાવણીની આસપાસ ઝાકળનું પડ બાઝી ગયું.

14 And when the dew was gone, on the face of the earth was a small round thing, like small drops of ice on the earth.સૂરજ ઊગતાં ઝાકળ ઊડી ગયું અને હિમના પડ જેવું બારીક નાનો ગોળ પદાર્થ રણની સપાટી પર હતો.

15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, What is it? for they had no idea what it was. And Moses said to them, It is the bread which the Lord has given you for your food.ઇસ્રાએલના લોકો આ જોઈ પરસ્પર એક બીજાને પૂછવા લાગ્યા, “આ શું છે?” કારણ કે એમને ખબર ન હતી કે એ શું છે. ત્યારે તેઓને મૂસાએ કહ્યું, “એ તો યહોવાએ તમને ખાવા માંટે આપેલો ખોરાક છે.”

16 This is what the Lord has said, Let every man take up as much as he has need of; at the rate of one omer for every person, let every man take as much as is needed for his family.યહોવાની એવી આજ્ઞા છે કે, ‘તમે પ્રત્યેક જણ પોતાનાથી ખાઈ શકાય તેટલું ભેગું કરી લો, માંથાદીઠ બે પાયા પ્રમાંણે તમાંરા તંબુમાં રહેનારા માંણસોના પ્રમાંણે લઈ લો.”‘

17 And the children of Israel did so, and some took more and some less.અને ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોએ એ પ્રમાંણે કર્યું, કેટલાકે વધુ તો કેટલાકે ઓછું ભેગું કરી લીધું.

18 And when it was measured, he who had taken up much had nothing over, and he who had little had enough; every man had taken what he was able to make use of.અને પછી તેઓએ ઓમેરથી માંપિયાથી માંપ્યું ત્યારે જેણે વધુ લીધું હતું તેનું વધ્યું નહિ કે જેણે ઓછું ભેગું કર્યુ હતું તેનું ઘટયું નહિ. પ્રત્યેક માંણસે પોતાના ખાવા પૂરતું જ એકઠું કર્યુ હતું.

19 And Moses said to them, Let nothing be kept till the morning.પછી મૂસાએ તેમને કહ્યું, “તમાંરામાંથી કોઈએ સવારને માંટે રાખી મૂકવું નહિ.”

20 But they gave no attention to Moses, and some of them kept it till the morning and there were worms in it and it had an evil smell: and Moses was angry with them.પરંતુ તેઓએ મૂસાનું કહ્યું માંન્યું નહિ અને તેમાંના કેટલાકે થોડું સવાર માંટે રાખ્યું તો તેમાં કીડા પડયા, અને તે ગંધાઈ ઊઠયું તેથી મૂસા તેમના પર ક્રોધે ભરાયો.

21 And they took it up morning by morning, every man as he had need: and when the sun was high it was gone.રોજ સવારે પ્રત્યેક જણ પોતાનાથી ખવાય તેટલો ખોરાક ભેગો કરતાં, અને સૂર્ય તપતો ત્યારે જે વધતું હોય તે બધું ઓગળી જતું.

22 And on the sixth day they took up twice as much of the bread, two omers for every person: and all the rulers of the people gave Moses word of it.અને પછી અઠવાડિયાના છઠ્ઠે દિવસે તેઓએ બમણો ખોરાક ભેગો કર્યો. પ્રત્યેક વ્યક્તિ દીઠ 16 કપ. પછી એ સમાંજના બધા આગેવાનોએ આવીને મૂસાને તે વિષે જણાવ્યું.

23 And he said, This is what the Lord has said, Tomorrow is a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord: what has to be cooked may be cooked; and what is over, put on one side to be kept till the morning.અને તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું, “યહોવાની આજ્ઞા એવી છે કે, “આવતી કાલે વિશ્રામવાર છે, યહોવાનો પવિત્ર સાબ્બાથ છે; તેથી તમાંરે જે રાંધવુ હોય તે રાંધી લો, અને જે વધે તે તમાંરા માંટે સવાર સુધી રાખી મૂકો.”

24 And they kept it till the morning as Moses had said: and no smell came from it, and it had no worms.આથી મૂસાની આજ્ઞા પ્રમાંણે તેઓએ તેમાંથી સવારને માંટે રાખી મૂકયું, તો તેમાં કીડા પડયા નહિને ગંધાઈ પણ ઊઠ્યું નહિ.

25 And Moses said, Make your meal today of what you have, for this day is a Sabbath to the Lord: today you will not get any in the fields.અને મૂસાએ કહ્યું, “આજે તો ખાઓ, કારણ કે આજે વિશ્રામવાર છે, યહોવાનો દિવસ છે; આજે તમને ખેતરમાં અનાજ નહિ મળે.

26 For six days you will get it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.સપ્તાહના છ દિવસ તમે એ ભેગું કરો; પણ સાતમો દિવસ સાબ્બાથ છે, તેથી તે દિવસે તમને તે ખાસ ખોરાક જમીન પર થોડો પણ નહિ મળે.”

27 But still on the seventh day some of the people went out to get it, and there was not any.સાતમાં દિવસે કેટલાક લોકો ભેગું કરવા માંટે બહાર ગયા, પણ તેમને કંઈ મળ્યું નહિ.

28 And the Lord said to Moses, How long will you go against my orders and my laws?ત્યારે યહોવાએ મૂસાને કહ્યું, “કયાં સુધી તમાંરા લોકોએ માંરી આજ્ઞાઓ અને નિયમોનું પાલન કરવાની ના પાડવી છે?

29 See, because the Lord has given you the Sabbath, he gives you on the sixth day bread enough for two days; let every man keep where he is; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.જુઓ, યહોવાએ તમાંરા માંટે વિશ્રામવાર આપ્યો છે, તેથી છઠ્ઠે દિવસે તે તમને બે દિવસ માંટે ચાલે તેટલુ અન્ન આપશે, તેથી સાતમે દિવસે પ્રત્યેક જણે પોતપોતાના ઘરમાં રહેવું અને કોઈએ બહાર નીકળવું નહિ.”

30 So the people took their rest on the seventh day.તેથી તે લોકોએ વિશ્રામવારે વિશ્રામ કર્યો.

31 And this bread was named manna by Israel: it was white, like a grain seed, and its taste was like cakes made with honey.ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોએ તે વિશિષ્ટ ભોજનનનું નામ “માંન્ના” રાખ્યું. માંન્ના ધાણાની દાળ જેવું સફેદ હતું. અને તેનો સ્વાદ મધવાળી પાતળી ભાખરી જેવો હતો.

32 And Moses said, This is the order which the Lord has given: Let one omer of it be kept for future generations, so that they may see the bread which I gave you for your food in the waste land, when I took you out from the land of Egypt.ત્યારે મૂસાએ કહ્યું, “યહોવાએ આદેશ આપ્યો છે કે, ‘તમાંરા વંશજોને માંટે તેમાંથી8કપ ભરીને માંન્ના રાખી મૂકો; જેથી હું તમને મિસરમાંથી બહાર લઈ આવ્યો ત્યારે મેં તમને લોકોને જે ભોજન ખવડાવ્યું હતું તે તેઓ જોઈ શકે.”‘

33 And Moses said to Aaron, Take a pot and put one omer of manna in it, and put it away before the Lord, to be kept for future generations.પછી મૂસાએ હારુનને કહ્યું કે, “એક બરણી લઈને તેમાં 8 કપ માંન્ના ભરીને તમાંરા વંશજોના ભવિષ્ય માંટે સાચવી રાખવા તેને યહોવાની આગળ મૂક.”

34 So Aaron put it away in front of the holy chest to be kept, as the Lord gave orders to Moses.યહોવાએ મૂસાને આજ્ઞા આપ્યા મુજબ હારુને તેને સાચવવા માંટે કરારકોશ સમક્ષ મુકયું.

35 And the children of Israel had manna for their food for forty years, till they came to a land with people in it, till they came to the edge of the land of Canaan.પછી ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોએ 40 વર્ષ પર્યંત વસવાટ કરવા યોગ્ય પ્રદેશમાં તેઓ આવ્યા ત્યાં સુધી-માંન્ના ખાધું. તેઓ કનાન દેશની સરદહમાં પહોંચ્યા ત્યાં સુધી તેઓએ માંન્ના ખાધું.

36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.એક ઓમેર લગભગ આઠ પ્યાલા બરાબર હતું. માંન્ના તોલવા માંટેનું એક માંપ ઓમેર હતું.
