Ecclesiastes 8:10
મેં દુનિયામાં એવું પણ જોયું છે કે દુષ્ટ માણસને દફનાવી પાછા ફરતાં તેનાં મિત્રો તેના ભૂંડા કાર્યોને ભૂલી જાય છે અને જે નગરમાં તેણે પાપ કર્યા હોય ત્યાં જ તેનાં વખાણ કરે છે, એ પણ વ્યર્થતા છે!

| and gone | וּמִמְּק֤וֹם | ûmimmĕqôm | oo-mee-meh-KOME |
| from the place | קָדוֹשׁ֙ | qādôš | ka-DOHSH |
| holy, the of | יְהַלֵּ֔כוּ | yĕhallēkû | yeh-ha-LAY-hoo |
| and they were forgotten | וְיִֽשְׁתַּכְּח֥וּ | wĕyišĕttakkĕḥû | veh-yee-sheh-ta-keh-HOO |
| in the city | בָעִ֖יר | bāʿîr | va-EER |
| where | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| they had so | כֵּן | kēn | kane |
| done: | עָשׂ֑וּ | ʿāśû | ah-SOO |
| this | גַּם | gam | ɡahm |
| is also | זֶ֖ה | ze | zeh |
| vanity. | הָֽבֶל׃ | hābel | HA-vel |
