એક અઠવાડિયા પછી ફરીથી શિષ્યો ઘરમાં હતા. થોમા તેઓની સાથે હતો. બારણાંઓને તાળાં હતાં. પરંતુ ઈસુ આવ્યો અને તેઓની વચ્ચે આવીને ઊભો. ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “તમને શાંતિ થાઓ!”

પછી ઈસુએ ફરીથી કહ્યું, “તમને શાંતિ થાઓ!” પિતાએ મને મોકલ્યો છે. તે જ રીતે હવે, હું તમને મોકલું છું.
John 14:27
“હું તમને શાંતિ આપીને જાઉં છું. હું તમને આપું છું તે મારી પોતાની શાંતિ છે. જગત આપે છે તેના કરતાં જુદી રીતે હું તમને શાંતિ આપીશ. તેથી તમારા હૃદયોને વ્યાકુળ થવા દેશો નહિ. ડરશો નહિ.
