1 Timothy 3:2
મંડળીનો અધ્યક્ષ ઘણો સજજન હોવો જોઈએ જેથી લોકો તેની ટીકા કરી ન શકે. તેને એકજ પત્ની હોવી જોઈએ. તે માણસ આત્મ-સંયમી અને ડાહ્યો હોવો જોઈએ. બીજા લોકોની નજરમાં તે માનનીય, આદરણીય હોવો જોઈએ. લોકોને પોતાના ઘરમાં આવકારીને તેઓને મદદ કરવા તે તત્પર રહેવો જોઈએ. તે એક સારો શિક્ષક હોવો જોઈએ.
