Genesis 20 in Tamil

1 ஆபிரகாம் அவ்விடம் விட்டு, தென் தேசத்திற்குப் பிரயாணம்பண்ணி, காதேசுக்கும் சூருக்கும் நடுவாகக் குடியேறி, கேராரிலே தங்கினான். And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

2 அங்கே ஆபிரகாம் தன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளைத் தன் சகோதரி என்று சொன்னதினாலே, கேராரின் ராஜாவாகிய அபிமெலேக்கு ஆளனுப்பிச் சாராளை அழைப்பித்தான். And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

3 தேவன் இரவிலே அபிமெலேக்குக்குச் சொப்பனத்திலே தோன்றி: நீ அழைப்பித்த ஸ்திரீயின் நிமித்தம் நீ செத்தாய்; அவள் ஒருவனுடைய மனைவியாயிருக்கிறாளே என்றார். But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.

4 அபிமெலேக்கு அவளைச் சேராதிருந்தான். ஆகையால் அவன்: ஆண்டவரே, நீதியுள்ள ஜனங்களை அழிப்பீரோ? But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

5 இவள் தன் சகோதரி என்று அவன் என்னோடே சொல்லவில்லையா? அவன் தன் சகோதரன் என்று இவளும் சொன்னாளே; உத்தம இருதயத்தோடும் சுத்தமான கைகளோடும் இதைச் செய்தேன் என்று சொன்னான். Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.

6 அப்பொழுது தேவன்: உத்தம இருதயத்தோடே நீ இதைச் செய்தாய் என்று நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; நீ எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்யாதபடிக்கு உன்னைத் தடுத்தேன்; ஆகையால், நீ அவளைத் தொட நான் உனக்கு இடங்கொடுக்கவில்லை. And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

7 அந்த மனுஷனுடைய மனைவியை அவனிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பிவிடு; அவன் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி; நீ பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு அவன் உனக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்வான்; நீ அவளை அனுப்பிவிடாதிருந்தால், நீயும் உன்னைச் சேர்ந்த யாவரும் சாகவே சாவீர்கள் என்று அறிவாயாக என்று சொப்பனத்திலே அவனுக்குச் சொன்னார். Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

8 அபிமெலேக்கு அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து, தன் ஊழியக்காரரையெல்லாம் அழைப்பித்து, இந்தச் சங்கதிகளையெல்லாம் அவர்கள் கேட்கும்படி சொன்னான்; அந்த மனுஷர் மிகவும் பயந்தார்கள். Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.

9 அப்பொழுது அபிமெலேக்கு ஆபிரகாமை அழைப்பித்து; நீ எங்களுக்கு என்ன காரியஞ்செய்தாய், நீ என்மேலும், என் ராஜ்யத்தின்மேலும் கொடிய பாவம் சுமரப்பண்ணுகிறதற்கு உனக்கு நான் என்ன குற்றம் செய்தேன்? செய்யத்தகாத காரியங்களை என்னிடத்தில் செய்தாயே என்றான். Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

10 பின்னும் அபிமெலேக்கு ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: என்னத்தைக் கண்டு நீ இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்தாய் என்றான். And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?

11 அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: இவ்விடத்தில் தெய்வபயம் இல்லையென்றும், என் மனைவியினிமித்தம் என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடுவார்கள் என்றும் நான் நினைத்தேன். And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.

12 அவள் என் சகோதரி என்பதும் மெய்தான்; அவள் என் தகப்பனுக்குக் குமாரத்தி, என் தாய்க்குக் குமாரத்தியல்ல; அவள் எனக்கு மனைவியானாள். And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

13 என் தகப்பன் வீட்டைவிட்டு தேவன் என்னைத் தேசாந்தரியாய்த் திரியும்படி செய்தபோது, நான் அவளை நோக்கி: நாம் போகும் இடம் எங்கும், நீ என்னைச் சகோதரன் என்று சொல்வது நீ எனக்குச் செய்யவேண்டிய தயை என்று அவளிடத்தில் சொல்லியிருந்தேன் என்றான் And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt show unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

14 அப்பொழுது அபிமெலேக்கு ஆடு மாடுகளையும், வேலைக்காரரையும், வேலைக்காரிகளையும் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கொடுத்து, அவன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளையும் அவனிடத்தில் திரும்ப ஒப்புவித்தான். And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

15 பின்னும் அபிமெலேக்கு: இதோ, என் தேசம் உனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; உன் பார்வைக்குச் சம்மதியான இடத்திலே குடியிரு என்று சொன்னான். And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.

16 பின்பு சாராளை நோக்கி: உன் சகோதரனுக்கு ஆயிரம் வெள்ளிக்காசு கொடுத்தேன்; இதோ, உன்னோடிருக்கிற எல்லார் முன்பாகவும், மற்ற யாவர் முன்பாகவும், இது உன் முகத்து முக்காட்டுக்காவதாக என்றான்; இப்படி அவள் கடிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டாள். And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

17 ஆபிரகாமுடைய மனைவியாகிய சாராளின் நிமித்தம் கர்த்தர் அபிமெலேக்குடைய வீட்டாரின் கர்ப்பங்களையெல்லாம் அடைத்திருந்தபடியால், So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.

18 ஆபிரகாம் தேவனை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அப்பொழுது தேவன் அபிமெலேக்கையும், அவன் மனைவியையும், அவன் வேலைக்காரிகளையும் குணமாக்கி, பிள்ளைபெறும்படி அநுக்கிரகம் பண்ணினார். For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

1 Abraham avvidam vittu, then thaesaththirkup pirayaanampannnni, kaathaesukkum soorukkum naduvaakak kutiyaeri, kaeraarilae thanginaan. And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

2 Angae Abraham than manaiviyaakiya saaraalaith than sakothari entu sonnathinaalae, kaeraarin raajaavaakiya apimelaekku aalanuppich saaraalai alaippiththaan. And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

3 Dhevan iravilae apimelaekkukkuch soppanaththilae thonti: nee alaippiththa sthireeyin nimiththam nee seththaay; aval oruvanutaiya manaiviyaayirukkiraalae entar. But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.

4 Apimelaekku avalaich seraathirunthaan. Aakaiyaal avan: aanndavarae, neethiyulla janangalai alippeero? But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

5 Ival than sakothari entu avan ennotae sollavillaiyaa? Avan than sakotharan entu ivalum sonnaalae; uththama iruthayaththodum suththamaana kaikalodum ithaich seythaen entu sonnaan. Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.

6 Appoluthu Dhevan: uththama iruthayaththotae nee ithaich seythaay entu naan arinthirukkiraேn; nee enakku virothamaakap paavam seyyaathapatikku unnaith thaduththaen; aakaiyaal, nee avalaith thoda naan unakku idangaொdukkavillai. And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

7 Antha manushanutaiya manaiviyai avanidaththirku anuppividu; avan oru theerkkatharisi; nee pilaikkumpatikku avan unakkaaka vaennduthal seyvaan; nee avalai anuppividaathirunthaal, neeyum unnaich serntha yaavarum saakavae saaveerkal entu arivaayaaka entu soppanaththilae avanukkuch sonnaar. Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

8 Apimelaekku athikaalaiyil elunthu, than ooliyakkaararaiyellaam alaippiththu, inthach sangathikalaiyellaam avarkal kaetkumpati sonnaan; antha manushar mikavum payanthaarkal. Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.

9 Appoluthu apimelaekku aapirakaamai alaippiththu; nee engalukku enna kaariyanjaெythaay, nee enmaelum, en raajyaththinmaelum kotiya paavam sumarappannnukiratharku unakku naan enna kuttam seythaen? Seyyaththakaatha kaariyangalai ennidaththil seythaayae entan. Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

10 Pinnum apimelaekku aapirakaamai Nnokki: ennaththaik kanndu nee inthak kaariyaththaich seythaay entan. And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?

11 Atharku Abraham: ivvidaththil theyvapayam illaiyentum, en manaiviyinimiththam ennaik kontupoduvaarkal entum naan ninaiththaen. And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.

12 Aval en sakothari enpathum meythaan; aval en thakappanukkuk kumaaraththi, en thaaykkuk kumaaraththiyalla; aval enakku manaiviyaanaal. And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

13 En thakappan veettaைvittu Dhevan ennaith thaesaanthariyaayth thiriyumpati seythapothu, naan avalai Nnokki: naam pokum idam engum, nee ennaich sakotharan entu solvathu nee enakkuch seyyavaenntiya thayai entu avalidaththil solliyirunthaen entan And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt show unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

14 Appoluthu apimelaekku aadu maadukalaiyum, vaelaikkaararaiyum, vaelaikkaarikalaiyum aapirakaamukkuk koduththu, avan manaiviyaakiya saaraalaiyum avanidaththil thirumpa oppuviththaan. And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

15 Pinnum apimelaekku: itho, en thaesam unakku munpaaka irukkirathu; un paarvaikkuch sammathiyaana idaththilae kutiyiru entu sonnaan. And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.

16 Pinpu saaraalai Nnokki: un sakotharanukku aayiram vellikkaasu koduththaen; itho, unnotirukkira ellaar munpaakavum, matta yaavar munpaakavum, ithu un mukaththu mukkaattukkaavathaaka entan; ippati aval katinthu kollappattal. And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

17 Aapirakaamutaiya manaiviyaakiya saaraalin nimiththam Karththar apimelaekkutaiya veettarin karppangalaiyellaam ataiththirunthapatiyaal, So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.

18 Abraham thaevanai Nnokki vaenntikkonndaan; appoluthu Dhevan apimelaekkaiyum, avan manaiviyaiyum, avan vaelaikkaarikalaiyum kunamaakki, pillaiperaுmpati anukkirakam pannnninaar. For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
