நீங்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவருகிற வழியிலே உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் மிரியாமுக்குச் செய்ததை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

அப்பொழுது ஆமான் அகாஸ்வேரு ராஜாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய ராஜ்ஜியத்தின் எல்லா நாடுகளிலுமுள்ள மக்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவித மக்கள் சிதறி பரவியிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய வழக்கங்கள் எல்லா மக்களுடைய வழக்கங்களுக்கும் வித்தியாசமாக இருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் ராஜாவின் சட்டங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவதில்லை; ஆகையால் அவர்களை இப்படி விட்டிருக்கிறது ராஜாவிற்கு நியாயமல்ல.

பிறகு, ஆமான் அகாஸ்வேரு அரசனிடம் வந்தான். அவன், “அகாஸ்வேரு அரசே, உமது ஆட்சியிலுள்ள நாடுகளில் எல்லாம் ஒருவித ஜனங்கள் சிதறிக்கிடக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் மற்ற ஜனங்களிடமிருந்து தங்களைத் தனியே பிரித்து வைத்துள்ளனர். அவர்களது பழக்கவழக்கங்கள் மற்றவர்களிடமிருந்து வேறுபட்டதாக உள்ளன. அவர்கள் அரசனது சட்டங்களுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிவதில்லை. அவர்கள் உமது அரசாட்சியில் வாழ அனுமதிப்பது அரசனாகிய உமக்கு நல்லதல்ல.

அப்பொழுது ஆமான் அகாஸ்வேரு ராஜாவை நோக்கி உம்முடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் சகல நாடுகளிலுமுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவித ஜனங்கள் சிதறுண்டு பரம்பியிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய வழக்கங்கள் சகல ஜனங்களுடைய வழக்கங்களுக்கும் விகற்பமாயிருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் ராஜாவின் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதில்லை; ஆகையால் அவர்களை இப்படி விட்டிருக்கிறது ராஜாவுக்கு நியாயமல்ல.
