அவன் மிகவும் தாகமடைந்து, கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: தேவரீர் உமது அடியேன் கையினால் இந்தப் பெரிய இரட்சிப்பைக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்க, இப்பொழுது நான் தாகத்தினால் செத்து, விருத்தசேதனம் இல்லாதவர்கள் கையிலே விழவேண்டுமோ என்றான்.

சிம்சோன் மிகவும் தாகமாயிருந்தான். அவன் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி, “நான் உமது ஊழியன், நீர் எனக்குப் பெரும் வெற்றியைத் தந்தீர். நான் தாகத்தால் மரிக்கும்படி தயவு செய்துவிடாதிரும். விருத்தசேதனம் இல்லாத மனிதர்கள் என்னைப் பிடிக்க அனுமதியாதிரும்” என்று அழுது முறையிட்டான்.
