দানিয়েল রাজা নবূখদ্নিত্সরের কাছে গেলেন এবং তাঁর কাছ থেকে সাক্ষাত্কারের সময় দিতে বললেন যাতে তিনি রাজার স্বপ্নের ব্যাখ্যা করে দিতে পারেন|
