தம்முடைய மகிமையினாலும் காருணியத்தினாலும் நம்மை அழைத்தவரை அறிகிற அறிவினாலே ஜீவனுக்கும் தேவபக்திக்கும் வேண்டிய யாவற்றையும். அவருடைய திவ்விய வல்லமையானது நமக்குத் தந்தருளினதுமன்றி,

தேவனுடைய வல்லமை இயேசுவிடம் உள்ளது. நாம் வாழ்வதற்கும், தேவனுக்கு சேவை செய்வதற்கும் தேவையான எல்லாவற்றையும் அவரது வல்லமை நமக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறது. நாம் அவரை அறிவதால் நமக்கு இவை கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இயேசு தன் மகிமையாலும், கருணையினாலும் நம்மை அழைத்தார்.
