17 இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாகாசின் குமாரன் யோவாஸ் மரணமடைந்தபின், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் அமத்சியா பதினைந்துவருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.
18 அமத்சியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
19 எருசலேமிலே அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கட்டுப்பாடு பண்ணினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது லாகீசுக்கு ஓடிப்போனான்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அவன் பிறகே லாகீசுக்கு மனுஷரை அனுப்பி, அங்கே அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு,
20 குதிரைகள்மேல் அவனை எடுத்துக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் எருசலேமில் இருக்கிற தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே தன் பிதாக்களண்டையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்.
17 And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.
18 And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
19 Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.
20 And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.

20 எலிசா மரணமடைந்தான்; அவனை அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்; மறுவருஷத்திலே மோவாபியரின் தண்டுகள் தேசத்திலே வந்தது.
And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
21 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள், ஒரு மனுஷனை அடக்கம்பண்ணப்போகையில், அந்தத் தண்டைக் கண்டு, அந்த மனுஷனை எலிசாவின் கல்லறையில் போட்டார்கள்; அந்த மனுஷனின் பிரேதம் அதிலே விழுந்து எலிசாவின் எலும்புகளின்மேல் பட்டபோது, அந்த மனுஷன் உயிரடைந்து தன் கால்களை ஊன்றி எழுந்திருந்தான்.
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
