2 நாளாகமம் 28
1 ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபது வயதாயிருந்து, பதினாறு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்; ஆனாலும் அவன், தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல், கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்யாமல்,
2 இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழிகளில் நடந்து, பாகால்களுக்கு வார்ப்பு விக்கிரகங்களைச் செய்தான்.
3 அவன் இன்னோம் குமாரரின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே தூபங்காட்டி, கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தின ஜாதிகளுடைய அருவருப்புகளின்படியே தன் குமாரரை அக்கினியிலே தகித்துப்போட்டு,
4 மேடைகளிலும், மலைகளிலும், பச்சையான சகல மரங்களின் கீழும் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தான்.
5 ஆகையால் அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனைச் சீரியருடைய ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் அவனை முறிய அடித்து, அவனுக்கு இருக்கிறவர்களிலே பெரிய கூட்டத்தைச் சிறைபிடித்துத் தமஸ்குவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய ராஜாவின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டான்; இவன் அவனை வெகுவாய் முறிய அடித்தான்.
6 எப்படியெனில், யூதா மனுஷர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டபடியினால், ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்கா அவர்களில் ஒரேநாளில் லட்சத்திருபதினாயிரம்பேரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் மகா வீரராயிருந்தவர்கள்.
7 அன்றியும் எப்பிராயீமின் பராக்கிரமசாலியான சிக்ரியும், ராஜாவின் குமாரனாகிய மாசேயாவையும், அரமனைத் தலைவனாகிய அஸ்ரிக்காமையும், ராஜாவுக்கு இரண்டாவதான எல்க்கானாவையும் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.
8 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் சகோதரரில் இரண்டு லட்சம்பேராகிய ஸ்திரீகளையும் குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் சிறைபிடித்து, அவர்களுடைய அநேக திரவியங்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்டு, கொள்ளைப்பொருளைச் சமாரியாவுக்கு, கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
9 அங்கே ஓதேத் என்னும் பேருள்ள கர்த்தருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசி ஒருவன் இருந்தான்; அவன் சமாரியாவுக்கு வருகிற சேனைக்கு திரளாகப் போய், அவர்களை நோக்கி: இதோ, உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் யூதாவின்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டபடியினால் அவர்களை உங்கள் கைகளில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; நீங்களோ வானபரியந்தம் எட்டுகிற உக்கிரத்தோடே அவர்களைச் சங்காரம்பண்ணினீர்கள்.
10 இப்போதும் யூதாவின் புத்திரரையும் எருசலேமியரையும் நீங்கள் உங்களுக்கு வேலைக்காரராகவும் வேலைக்காரிகளாகவும் கீழ்ப்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமான குற்றங்கள் உங்களிடத்திலும் இல்லையோ?
11 ஆதலால் நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, நீங்கள் உங்கள் சகோதரரிடத்தில் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுவந்தவர்களைத் திரும்ப அனுப்பிவிடுங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய உக்கிரமான கோபம் உங்கள்மேல் இருக்கிறது என்றான்.
12 அப்பொழுது எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரரின் தலைவரில் சிலபேராகிய யோகனானின் குமாரன் அசரியாவும், மெஷிலெமோத்தின் குமாரன் பெரகியாவும், சல்லுூமின் குமாரன் எகிஸ்கியாவும், அத்லாயின் குமாரன் அமாசாவும் யுத்தத்திலிருந்து வந்தவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பி,
13 அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சிறைபிடித்த இவர்களை இங்கே உள்ளே கொண்டுவரவேண்டாம்; நம்மேல் திரளான குற்றமும், இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் உக்கிரமான கோபமும் இருக்கையில், நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நம்மேல் குற்றம் சுமரப்பண்ணத்தக்கதாய், நம்முடைய பாவங்களையும் நம்முடைய குற்றங்களையும் அதிகமாக்க நினைக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்கள்.
14 அப்பொழுது ஆயுதபாணிகளானவர்கள் சிறைபிடித்தவர்களையும், கொள்ளையுடைமைகளையும், பிரபுக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் சமஸ்த சபைக்கு முன்பாகவும் விட்டுவிட்டார்கள்.
15 அப்பொழுது பேர் குறிக்கப்பட்ட மனுஷர் எழும்பி, சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களில் வஸ்திரமில்லாத சகலருக்கும் கொள்ளையில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட வஸ்திரங்களைக்கொடுத்து, உடுப்பையும் பாதரட்சைகளையும் போடுவித்து, அவர்களுக்குச் சாப்பிடவும் குடிக்கவும் கொடுத்து, அவர்களுக்கு எண்ணெய் வார்த்து, அவர்களில் பலட்சயமானவர்களையெல்லாம் கழுதைகள்மேல் ஏற்றி, பேரீச்சமரங்களின் பட்டணமாகிய எரிகோவிலே அவர்கள் சகோதரரிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவந்துவிட்டு, சமாரியாவுக்குத் திரும்பினார்கள்.
16 அக்காலத்திலே ஆகாஸ் என்னும் ராஜா அசீரியாவின் ராஜாக்கள் தனக்கு ஒத்தாசைபண்ண அவர்களிடத்துக்கு ஆட்களை அனுப்பினான்.
17 ஏதோமியரும் கூடவந்து, யூதாவைமுறிய அடித்து, சிலரைச் சிறைபிடித்துபோயிருந்தார்கள்.
18 பெலிஸ்தரும் யூதாவிலே சமபூமியிலும் தெற்கேயும் இருக்கிற பட͠Οணங்களின்மேல் விழுந்து, பெĠύஷிமேசையும், ஆயலோனையுமύ, கெதெΰோத்தையும், சொக்கோவைίும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும், திம்னாவையம் அதின் கிராமங்களையும், கிம்சோவையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும் பிடித்து அங்கே குடியேறினார்கள்.
19 யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாசினிமித்தம் கர்த்தர் யூதாவைத் தாழ்த்தினார்; அவன் யூதாவைச் சீர்குலைத்து, கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய் மிகவும் துரோகம்பண்ணினான்.
20 அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய தில்காத்பில்நேசர் அவனிடத்தில் வந்தான்; அவனை நெருக்கினானே அல்லாமல் அவனைப் பலப்படுத்தவில்லை.
21 ஆகாஸ் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் ஒரு பங்கும் ராஜ அரமனையில் ஒரு பங்கும், பிரபுக்களின் கையில் ஒரு பங்கும் எடுத்து, அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவுக்குக்கொடுத்தும், அவனுக்கு உதவிகிடைக்கவில்லை.
22 தான் நெருக்கப்படுகிற காலத்திலும் கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய் அந்த ஆகாஸ் என்னும் ராஜா துரோகம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டே இருந்தான்.
23 எப்படியென்றால்: சீரியா ராஜாக்களின் தெய்வங்கள் அவர்களுக்குத் துணைசெய்கிறபடியினால், அவர்கள் எனக்கும் துணைசெய்ய அவர்களுக்குப் பலியிடுவேன் என்று சொல்லி, தன்னை முறிய அடித்த தமஸ்குவின் தெய்வங்களுக்கு அவன் பலியிட்டான்; ஆனாலும் அது அவனும் இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தும் நாசமாகிறதற்கு ஏதுவாயிற்று.
24 ஆகாஸ் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகளைச் சேர்த்து, தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகளைத் துண்டுதுண்டாக்கி, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் கதவுகளைப் பூட்டிப்போட்டு, எருசலேமில் மூலைக்குமூலை பலிபீடங்களை உண்டுபண்ணி,
25 அந்நிய தெய்வங்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டும்படிக்கு, யூதாவின் ஒவ்வொரு பட்டணத்திலும் மேடைகளை உண்டுபண்ணி, தன் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு கோபமூட்டினான்.
26 அவனுடைய மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவனுடைய ஆதியோடந்தமான சகல நடபடிகளும் யூதா இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord, like David his father:
2 For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.
3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
4 He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
5 Wherefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
6 For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers.
7 And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king’s son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.
8 And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
9 But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the Lord God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
10 And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the Lord your God?
11 Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the Lord is upon you.
12 Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,
13 And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the Lord already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
14 So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.
15 And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.
16 At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
17 For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.
18 The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Beth-shemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.
19 For the Lord brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the Lord.
20 And Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
21 For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the Lord, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.
22 And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the Lord: this is that king Ahaz.
23 For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
24 And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the Lord, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
25 And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the Lord God of his fathers.
26 Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
Joshua 11 in Tamil and English
1 ஆத்சோரின் ராஜாவாகிய யாபீன் அதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவன் மாதோனின் ராஜாவாகிய யோபாபிடத்திற்கும், சிம்ரோனின் ராஜாவிடத்துக்கும், அக்சாபின் ராஜாவிடத்திற்கும்,
And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2 வடக்கேயிருக்கிற மலைகளிலும் கின்னரேத்துக்குத் தெற்கேயிருக்கிற நாட்டுப்புறத்திலும் சமபூமியிலும் மேற்கு எல்லையாகிய தோரிலும் இருக்கிற ராஜாக்களிடத்திற்கும்,
And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,
3 கிழக்கேயும் மேற்கேயுமிருக்கிற கானானியரிடத்திற்கும், மலைகளிலிருக்கிற எமோரியர், ஏத்தியர், பெரிசியர், எபூசியரிடத்திற்கும், எர்மோன் மலையின் அடியிலே மிஸ்பா சீமையிலிருக்கிற ஏவியரிடத்திற்கும் ஆள் அனுப்பினான்.
And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
4 அவர்கள் கடற்கரை மணலைப்போல் ஏராளமான திரண்ட ஜனமாகிய தங்களுடைய எல்லாச் சேனைகளோடும், மகா ஏராளமான குதிரைகளோடும் இரதங்களோடும்கூடப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்.
And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
5 இந்த ராஜாக்களெல்லாரும் கூடி, இஸ்ரவேலோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணவந்து, மேசோம் என்கிற ஏரியண்டையிலே ஏகமாய்ப் பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.
And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
6 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் யோசுவாவை நோக்கி: அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாயாக, நாளை இந்நேரத்திலே நான் அவர்களையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டுண்டவர்களாக ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; நீ அவர்கள் குதிரைகளின் குதிகால் நரம்புகளை அறுத்து, அவர்கள் இரதங்களை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிக்கக்கடவாய் என்றார்.
And the Lord said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
7 யோசுவாவும் அவனோடேகூட யுத்த ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும், திடீரென்று மேரோம் ஏரியண்டையிலிருக்கிற அவர்களிடத்தில் வந்து, அவர்கள்மேல் விழுந்தார்கள்.
So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
8 கர்த்தர் அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேலின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களை முறிய அடித்து, பெரிய சீதோன்மட்டும் மிஸ்ரபோத்மாயீமட்டும், கிழக்கேயிருக்கிற மிஸ்பே பள்ளத்தாக்குமட்டும் துரத்தி, அவர்களில் ஒருவரும் மீதியாயிராதபடி, அவர்களை வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்.
And the Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.
9 யோசுவா கர்த்தர் தனக்குச் சொன்னபடி அவர்களுக்குச் செய்து, அவர்கள் குதிரைகளின் குதிகால் நரம்புகளை அறுத்து, அவர்கள் இரதங்களை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்தான்.
And Joshua did unto them as the Lord bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
10 அக்காலத்திலே யோசுவா திரும்பி, ஆத்சோரைப்பிடித்து, அதின் ராஜாவைப் பட்டயத்தினால் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்; ஆத்சோர் முன்னே அந்த ராஜ்யங்களுக்கெல்லாம் தலைமையான பட்டணமாயிருந்தது.
And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
11 அதிலிருந்த நரஜீவன்களையெல்லாம் பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் வெட்டி, சங்காரம்பண்ணினார்கள்; சுவாசமுள்ளது ஒன்றும் மீதியானதில்லை; ஆத்சோரையோ அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்தான்.
And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.
12 அந்த ராஜாக்களுடைய எல்லாப்பட்டணங்களையும் அவைகளுடைய எல்லா ராஜாக்களையும் யோசுவா பிடித்து, பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் வெட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய தாசனாகிய மோசே கட்டளையிட்டபடி, அவர்களைச் சங்காரம்பண்ணினான்.
And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord commanded.
13 ஆனாலும் தங்கள் அரணிப்போடே இருந்த பட்டணங்களையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலர் சுட்டெரித்துப்போடாமல் வைத்தார்கள்; ஆத்சோரைமாத்திரம் யோசுவா சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.
But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.
14 அந்தப் பட்டணங்களிலுள்ள மிருகஜீவன்களையும் மற்றக்கொள்ளைப் பொருள்களையும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்களுக்கென்று எடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் எல்லா மனுஷரையும் அழித்துத் தீருமட்டும் அவர்களைப் பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்; சுவாசமுள்ள ஒன்றையும் அவர்கள் மீதியாக வைக்கவில்லை.
And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.
15 கர்த்தர் தமது தாசனாகிய மோசேக்கு எப்படிக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தாரோ, அப்படியே மோசே யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தான்; அப்படியே யோசுவா செய்தான்; அவன், கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதில் ஒன்றையும் செய்யாமல் விடவில்லை.
As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.
16 இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக யோசுவா சேயீருக்கு ஏறிப்போகிற ஆலாக் மலைதுவக்கி லீபனோனின் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் எர்மோன் மலையடியில் இருக்கிற பாகால் காத்மட்டுமுள்ள அந்த முழுத்தேசமாகிய மலைகளையும் அதின் சமபூமியையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு,
So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
17 அவைகளின் ராஜாக்களையெல்லாம் பிடித்து, அவர்களை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.
Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.
18 யோசுவா நெடுநாளாய் அந்த ராஜாக்களெல்லாரோடும் யுத்தம்பண்ணினான்.
Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
19 கிபியோனின் குடிகளாகிய ஏவியரைத்தவிர, ஒரு பட்டணமும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சமாதானம் பண்ணவில்லை; மற்றெல்லாப் பட்டணங்களையும் யுத்தம்பண்ணிப் பிடித்தார்கள்.
There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.
20 யுத்தம்பண்ண இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு எதிராகவரும்படிக்கு, அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் கடினமானதும், இப்படியே அவர்கள்பேரில் இரக்கம் உண்டாகாமல், கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி, அவர்களை அழித்துச் சங்காரம்பண்ணினதும் கர்த்தரால் வந்த காரியமாயிருந்தது.
For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.
21 அக்காலத்திலே யோசுவா போய், மலைத்தேசமாகிய எபிரோனிலும் தெபீரிலும் ஆனாபிலும் யூதாவின் சகல மலைகளிலும் இஸ்ரவேலின் சகல மலைகளிலும் இருந்த ஏனாக்கியரை நிக்கிரகம்பண்ணி அவர்களை அவர்கள் பட்டணங்களோடும்கூடச் சங்கரித்தான்.
And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.
