1 Kings 17 in Tamil

1 கீலேயாத்தின் குடிகளிலே திஸ்பியனாகிய எலியா ஆகாபை நோக்கி: என் வாக்கின்படியே அன்றி இந்த வருஷங்களிலே பனியும் மழையும் பெய்யாதிருக்கும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிற நான் அவருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான். And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

2 பின்பு கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை அவனுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று, அவர்: And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

3 நீ இவ்விடத்தை விட்டுக் கீழ்த்திசையை நோக்கிப் போய், யோர்தானுக்கு நேராயிருக்கிற கேரீத் ஆற்றண்டையில் ஒளித்துக்கொண்டிரு. Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

4 அந்த ஆற்றின் தண்ணீரைக் குடிப்பாய்; அங்கே உன்னைப் போஷிக்க, காகங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்றார். And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.

5 அவன் போய், கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே யோர்தானுக்கு நேராயிருக்கிற கேரீத் ஆற்றண்டையிலே தங்கியிருந்தான். So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

6 காகங்கள் அவனுக்கு விடியற்காலத்தில் அப்பமும் இறைச்சியும், சாயங்காலத்தில் அப்பமும் இறைச்சியும் கொண்டுவந்தது; தாகத்திற்கு அந்த ஆற்றின் தண்ணீரைக் குடித்தான். And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

7 தேசத்தில் மழைபெய்யாதபடியினால், சிலநாளுக்குப்பின்பு அந்த ஆறு வற்றிப்போயிற்று. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

8 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை அவனுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று, அவர்: And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

9 நீ எழுந்து, சீதோனுக்கடுத்த சாறிபாத் ஊருக்குப் போய், அங்கே தங்கியிரு; உன்னைப் பராமரிக்கும்படி அங்கே இருக்கிற ஒரு விதவைக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டேன் என்றார். Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

10 அப்படியே அவன் எழுந்து, சாறிபாத்துக்குப் போனான்; அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின் ஒலிமுகவாசலுக்கு அவன் வந்த போது, அங்கே ஒரு விதவை விறகு பொறுக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்; அவன் அவளைப் பார்த்துக் கூப்பிட்டு, நான் குடிக்கிறதற்குக் கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில் எனக்குக் கொண்டுவா என்றான். So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

11 கொண்டுவர அவள் போகிறபோது அவன் அவளை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு, கொஞ்சம் அப்பமும் உன் கையிலே எனக்குக் கொண்டுவா என்றான். And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

12 அதற்கு அவள்: பானையில் ஒரு பிடிமாவும் கலயத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எண்ணெயுமே அல்லாமல், என்னிடத்தில் ஒரு அடையும் இல்லையென்று உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக் கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன்; இதோ, நானும் என் குமாரனும் சாப்பிட்டுச் செத்துப்போக, அதை எனக்கும் அவனுக்கும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்துகிறதற்கு இரண்டு விறகு பொறுக்குகிறேன் என்றாள். And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

13 அப்பொழுது எலியா அவளைப் பார்த்து: பயப்படாதே; நீ போய் உன் வார்த்தையின்படி ஆயத்தப்படுத்து; ஆனாலும் முதல் அதிலே எனக்கு ஒரு சிறிய அடையைப் பண்ணி என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவா; பின்பு உனக்கும் உன் குமாரனுக்கும் பண்ணலாம். And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

14 கர்த்தர் தேசத்தின்மேல் மழையைக் கட்டளையிடும் நாள்மட்டும் பானையின் மா செலவழிந்துபோவதும் இல்லை; கலசத்தின் எண்ணெய் குறைந்துபோவதும் இல்லை என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான். For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

15 அவள் போய், எலியாவின் சொற்படி செய்தாள்; அவளும், இவனும், அவள் வீட்டாரும் அநேகநாள் சாப்பிட்டார்கள். And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

16 கர்த்தர் எலியாவைக்கொண்டு சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே, பானையிலே மா செலவழிந்துபோகவும் இல்லை; கலசத்தின் எண்ணெய் குறைந்துபோகவும் இல்லை. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

17 இவைகள் நடந்தபின்பு, வீட்டுக்காரியாகிய அந்த ஸ்திரீயின் மகன் வியாதியில் விழுந்தான்; அவனுடைய சுவாசம் போகுமட்டும் அவனுடைய வியாதி அதிகரித்துக்கொண்டே இருந்தது. And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.

18 அப்பொழுது அவள் எலியாவை நோக்கி: தேவனுடைய மனுஷனே, எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? என் அக்கிரமத்தை நினைக்கப்பண்ணவும், என் குமாரனைச் சாகப்பண்ணவுமா? என்னிடத்தில் வந்தீர் என்றாள். And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

19 அதற்கு அவன்: உன் குமாரனை என்னிடத்தில் தா என்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவள் மடியிலிருந்து எடுத்து, தான் தங்கியிருக்கிற மேல்வீட்டிலே அவனைக் கொண்டுபோய், தன் கட்டிலின்மேல் வைத்து: And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.

20 என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நான் தங்கியிருக்க இடங்கொடுத்த இந்த விதவையின் மகனைச் சாகப்பண்ணினதினால் அவளுக்குத் துக்கத்தை வருவித்தீரோ என்று கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு; And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?

21 அந்தப் பிள்ளையின்மேல் மூன்று தரம் குப்புறவிழுந்து: என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, இந்தப் பிள்ளையின் ஆத்துமா அவனுக்குள் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணும் என்று கர்த்தரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணினான். And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.

22 கர்த்தர் எலியாவின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார்; பிள்ளையினுடைய ஆத்துமா அவனுள் திரும்பிவந்தது; அவன் பிழைத்தான். And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

23 அப்பொழுது எலியா பிள்ளையை எடுத்து, மேல்வீட்டிலிருந்து அவனைக் கீழ்வீட்டிற்குள் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனை அவன் தாயினிடத்தில் கொடுத்து: பார் உன் பிள்ளை உயிரோடிருக்கிறான் என்று சொன்னான். And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.

24 அப்பொழுது அந்த ஸ்திரீ எலியாவை நோக்கி: நீர் தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் என்றும், உம்முடைய வாயிலிருந்து பிறக்கும் கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தை உண்மை என்றும், இதினால் இப்போது அறிந்திருக்கிறேன் என்றாள். And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

1 Geelaeyaaththin kutikalilae thispiyanaakiya eliyaa aakaapai Nnokki: en vaakkinpatiyae anti intha varushangalilae paniyum malaiyum peyyaathirukkum entu isravaelin thaevanaakiya karththarukku munpaaka nirkira naan avarutaiya jeevanaikkonndu sollukiraேn entan. And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

2 Pinpu karththarutaiya vaarththai avanukku unndaayittaு, avar: And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

3 Nee ivvidaththai vittuk geelththisaiyai Nnokkip poy, yorthaanukku naeraayirukkira kaereeth aattanntaiyil oliththukkonntiru. Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

4 Antha aattin thannnneeraik kutippaay; angae unnaip poshikka, kaakangalukkuk kattalaiyiduvaen entar. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.

5 Avan poy, karththarutaiya vaarththaiyinpatiyae yorthaanukku naeraayirukkira kaereeth aattanntaiyilae thangiyirunthaan. So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

6 Kaakangal avanukku vitiyarkaalaththil appamum iraichchiyum, saayangaalaththil appamum iraichchiyum konnduvanthathu; thaakaththirku antha aattin thannnneeraik kutiththaan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

7 Thaesaththil malaipeyyaathapatiyinaal, silanaalukkuppinpu antha aaraு vattippoyittaு. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

8 Appoluthu karththarutaiya vaarththai avanukku unndaayittaு, avar: And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

9 Nee elunthu, seethonukkaduththa saaripaath oorukkup poy, angae thangiyiru; unnaip paraamarikkumpati angae irukkira oru vithavaikkuk kattalaiyittaேn entar. Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

10 Appatiyae avan elunthu, saaripaaththukkup ponaan; anthap pattanaththin olimukavaasalukku avan vantha pothu, angae oru vithavai viraku poraுkkikkonntirunthaal; avan avalaip paarththuk kooppittu, naan kutikkiratharkuk konjam thannnneer oru paaththiraththil enakkuk konnduvaa entan. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

11 Konnduvara aval pokirapothu avan avalai Nnokkik kooppittu, konjam appamum un kaiyilae enakkuk konnduvaa entan. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

12 Atharku aval: paanaiyil oru pitimaavum kalayaththil konjam ennnneyumae allaamal, ennidaththil oru ataiyum illaiyentu ummutaiya thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya jeevanaik konndu sollukiraேn; itho, naanum en kumaaranum saappittuch seththuppoka, athai enakkum avanukkum aayaththappaduththukiratharku iranndu viraku poraுkkukiraேn ental. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

13 Appoluthu eliyaa avalaip paarththu: payappadaathae; nee poy un vaarththaiyinpati aayaththappaduththu; aanaalum muthal athilae enakku oru siriya ataiyaip pannnni ennidaththil konnduvaa; pinpu unakkum un kumaaranukkum pannnalaam. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

14 Karththar thaesaththinmael malaiyaik kattalaiyidum naalmattum paanaiyin maa selavalinthupovathum illai; kalasaththin ennnney kurainthupovathum illai entu isravaelin thaevanaakiya Karththar sollukiraar entan. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

15 Aval poy, eliyaavin sorpati seythaal; avalum, ivanum, aval veettarum anaekanaal saappittarkal. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

16 Karththar eliyaavaikkonndu sonna vaarththaiyinpatiyae, paanaiyilae maa selavalinthupokavum illai; kalasaththin ennnney kurainthupokavum illai. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

17 Ivaikal nadanthapinpu, veettukkaariyaakiya antha sthireeyin makan viyaathiyil vilunthaan; avanutaiya suvaasam pokumattum avanutaiya viyaathi athikariththukkonntae irunthathu. And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.

18 Appoluthu aval eliyaavai Nnokki: thaevanutaiya manushanae, enakkum umakkum enna? En akkiramaththai ninaikkappannnavum, en kumaaranaich saakappannnavumaa? Ennidaththil vantheer ental. And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

19 Atharku avan: un kumaaranai ennidaththil thaa entu solli, avanai aval matiyilirunthu eduththu, thaan thangiyirukkira maelveettilae avanaik konndupoy, than kattilinmael vaiththu: And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.

20 En thaevanaakiya karththaavae, naan thangiyirukka idangaொduththa intha vithavaiyin makanaich saakappannnninathinaal avalukkuth thukkaththai varuviththeero entu karththarai Nnokkik kooppittu; And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?

21 Anthap pillaiyinmael moontu tharam kuppuravilunthu: en thaevanaakiya karththaavae, inthap pillaiyin aaththumaa avanukkul thirumpivarappannnum entu karththarai Nnokki vinnnappam pannnninaan. And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.

22 Karththar eliyaavin saththaththaik kaettar; pillaiyinutaiya aaththumaa avanul thirumpivanthathu; avan pilaiththaan. And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

23 Appoluthu eliyaa pillaiyai eduththu, maelveettilirunthu avanaik geelveettirkul konnduvanthu, avanai avan thaayinidaththil koduththu: paar un pillai uyirotirukkiraan entu sonnaan. And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.

24 Appoluthu antha sthiree eliyaavai Nnokki: neer thaevanutaiya manushan entum, ummutaiya vaayilirunthu pirakkum karththarin vaarththai unnmai entum, ithinaal ippothu arinthirukkiraேn ental. And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.
