కాబట్టి నీవుఎవడు భయపడి వణకుచున్నాడో వాడు త్వరపడి గిలాదు కొండ విడిచి తిరిగి వెళ్లవలెనని జనులు వినునట్లుగా ప్రకటించు మని గిద్యోనుతో సెలవిచ్చెను. అప్పుడు జనులలోనుండి ఇరువది రెండువేలమంది తిరిగి వెళ్లి పోయిరి.

| afraid, and | וְחָרֵ֔ד | wĕḥārēd | veh-ha-RADE |
| let him return | יָשֹׁ֥ב | yāšōb | ya-SHOVE |
| early depart and | וְיִצְפֹּ֖ר | wĕyiṣpōr | veh-yeets-PORE |
| from mount | מֵהַ֣ר | mēhar | may-HAHR |
| Gilead. | הַגִּלְעָ֑ד | haggilʿād | ha-ɡeel-AD |
| And there returned | וַיָּ֣שָׁב | wayyāšob | va-YA-shove |
