1 మనుష్యులు మనమీదికి లేచినప్పుడు యెహోవా మనకు తోడైయుండనియెడల
If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2 వారి ఆగ్రహము మనపైని రగులుకొనినప్పుడు
If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3 యెహోవా మనకు తోడైయుండనియెడల వారు మనలను ప్రాణముతోనే మింగివేసియుందురు
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4 జలములు మనలను ముంచివేసి యుండును ప్రవాహము మన ప్రాణములమీదుగా పొర్లిపారి యుండును
Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5 ప్రవాహములై ఘోషించు జలములు మన ప్రాణములమీదుగా పొర్లి పారియుండును అని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అందురు గాక.
Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6 వారి పండ్లకు మనలను వేటగా అప్పగింపని యెహోవా స్తుతినొందును గాక.
Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7 పక్షి తప్పించుకొనినట్లు మన ప్రాణము వేటకాండ్ర ఉరినుండి తప్పించుకొని యున్నది ఉరి తెంపబడెను మనము తప్పించుకొని యున్నాము.
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8 భూమ్యాకాశములను సృజించిన యెహోవా నామము వలననే మనకు సహాయము కలుగుచున్నది.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
