యెహొషువ 9:18
సమాజ ప్రధానులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాతోడని వారితో ప్రమాణము చేసియుండిరి గనుక ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వారిని హతముచేయలేదు. కాగా సమాజమంతయు ప్రధా నులకు విరోధముగా మొఱ్ఱపెట్టిరి.

| had sworn | נְשִׂיאֵ֣י | nĕśîʾê | neh-see-A |
| Lord the by them unto | הָֽעֵדָ֔ה | hāʿēdâ | ha-ay-DA |
| God | בַּֽיהוָ֖ה | bayhwâ | bai-VA |
| of Israel. | אֱלֹהֵ֣י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
| all And | יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| the congregation | וַיִּלֹּ֥נוּ | wayyillōnû | va-yee-LOH-noo |
