ఆ కాలమున యెహోషువ వచ్చి మన్యదేశములోను, అనగా హెబ్రోనులోను దెబీరులోను అనాబులోను యూదా మన్యములన్నిటిలోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మన్య ప్రదేశములన్నిటిలోను ఉన్న అనాకీయులను నాశనము చేసెను. యెహోషువ వారిని వారి పట్టణములను నిర్మూలము చేసెను.

అప్పుడు యెహోషువ మన్యప్రదేశమును దక్షిణ ప్రదే శమును షెఫేలాప్రదేశమును చరియలప్రదేశమును వాటి రాజులనందరిని జయించెను. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు అతడు శేషమేమియు లేకుండ ఊపిరిగల సమస్తమును నిర్మూలము చేసెను.

గిబియోనీయులుమన్యములలో నివసించు అమోరీయుల రాజులందరు కూడి మా మీదికిదండెత్తి వచ్చియున్నారు గనుక, నీ దాసులను చెయ్యి విడువక త్వరగా మాయొద్దకు వచ్చి మాకు సహా యముచేసి మమ్మును రక్షించుమని గిల్గాలులో దిగియున్న పాళెములో యెహోషువకు వర్తమానము పంపగా
