యెషయా గ్రంథము 58

1 తాళక బూర ఊదినట్లు ఎలుగెత్తి బిగ్గరగా కేకలు వేయుము వారు చేసిన తిరుగుబాటును నా జనులకు తెలియ జేయుము యాకోబు ఇంటివారికి వారి పాపములను తెలియ జేయుము

2 తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని విడువక నీతిని అనుసరించువారైనట్టు అనుదినము వారు నాయొద్ద విచారణ చేయుచు నా మార్గములను తెలిసికొన నిచ్ఛ కనుపరచుదురు తమకు న్యాయమైన తీర్పులు తీర్చవలెనని వారడు గుదురు దేవుడు తమకు ప్రత్యక్షుడు కావలెనని యిచ్ఛ యింతురు.

3 మేము ఉపవాసముండగా నీవెందుకు చూడవు? మేము మా ప్రాణములను ఆయాసపరచుకొనగా నీవెందుకు లక్ష్యపెట్టవు? అని అందురు మీ ఉపవాసదినమున మీరు మీ వ్యాపారము చేయుదురు. మీ పనివారిచేత కఠినమైనపని చేయించుదురు

4 మీరు కలహపడుచు వివాదము చేయుచు అన్యాయ ముగా గుద్దులాడుచు ఉపవాసముందురు మీ కంఠధ్వని పరమున వినబడునట్లుగా మీరిప్పుడు ఉపవాసముండరు.

5 అట్టి ఉపవాసము నాకనుకూలమా? మనష్యుడు తన ప్రాణమును బాధపరచుకొనవలసిన దినము అట్టిదేనా? ఒకడు జమ్మువలె తలవంచుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని బూడిదె పరచుకొని కూర్చుండుట ఉపవాసమా? అట్టి ఉపవాసము యెహోవాకు ప్రీతికరమని మీరను కొందురా?

6 దుర్మార్గులు కట్టిన కట్లను విప్పుటయు కాడిమాను మోకులు తీయుటయు బాధింపబడినవారిని విడిపించుటయు ప్రతి కాడిని విరుగగొట్టుటయు నే నేర్పరచుకొనిన ఉపవాసము గదా?

7 నీ ఆహారము ఆకలిగొనినవారికి పెట్టుటయు నీ రక్త సంబంధికి ముఖము తప్పింపకుండుటయు దిక్కుమాలిన బీదలను నీ యింట చేర్చుకొనుటయు

8 వస్త్రహీనుడు నీకు కనబడినప్పుడు వానికి వస్త్రము లిచ్చుటయు ఇదియే గదా నాకిష్టమైన ఉపవాసము? ఆలాగున నీవు చేసినయెడల నీ వెలుగు వేకువ చుక్క వలె ఉదయించును స్వస్థత నీకు శీఘ్రముగా లభించును నీ నీతి నీ ముందర నడచును యెహోవా మహిమ నీ సైన్యపు వెనుకటి భాగమును కావలికాయును.

9 అప్పుడు నీవు పిలువగా యెహోవా ఉత్తర మిచ్చును నీవు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టగా ఆయననేనున్నాననును. ఇతరులను బాధించుటయు వ్రేలుపెట్టి చూపి తిరస్కరించుటయు చెడ్డదానినిబట్టి మాటలాడుటయు నీవు మాని

10 ఆశించినదానిని ఆకలిగొనినవానికిచ్చి శ్రమపడినవానిని తృప్తిపరచినయెడల చీకటిలో నీ వెలుగు ప్రకాశించును అంధకారము నీకు మధ్యాహ్నమువలె నుండును.

11 యెహోవా నిన్ను నిత్యము నడిపించును క్షామకాలమున ఆయన నిన్ను తృప్తిపరచి నీ యెముక లను బలపరచును నీవు నీరు కట్టిన తోటవలెను ఎప్పుడును ఉబుకుచుండు నీటి ఊటవలెను ఉండెదవు.

12 పూర్వకాలమునుండి పాడైపోయిన స్థలములను నీ జనులు కట్టెదరు అనేకతరముల క్రిందట పాడైపోయిన పునాదులను నీవు మరల కట్టెదవు విరుగబడినదానిని బాగుచేయువాడవనియు దేశములో నివసించునట్లుగా త్రోవలు సిద్ధపరచువాడ వనియు నీకు పేరు పెట్టబడును. ఆయన నీతియే ఆయనకు ఆధారమాయెను.

13 నా విశ్రాంతిదినమున వ్యాపారము చేయకుండ నాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితమైన దినమని నీవు ఊరకుండినయెడల విశ్రాంతిదినము మనోహరమైనదనియు యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితదినమనియు ఘనమైనదనియు అనుకొని దాని ఘనముగా ఆచరించినయెడల నీకిష్టమైన పనులు చేయకయు వ్యాపారము చేయ కయు లోకవార్తలు చెప్పుకొనకయు ఉండినయెడల

14 నీవు యెహోవాయందు ఆనందించెదవు దేశముయొక్క ఉన్నతస్థలములమీద నేను నిన్నెక్కిం చెదను నీ తండ్రియైన యాకోబు స్వాస్థ్యమును నీ యనుభవ ములో ఉంచెదను యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన వాక్కు ఇదే.

1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord?

6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward.

9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
