యెషయా గ్రంథము 42
1 ఇదిగో నేను ఆదుకొను నా సేవకుడు నేను ఏర్పరచుకొనినవాడు నా ప్రాణమునకు ప్రియుడు అతనియందు నా ఆత్మను ఉంచియున్నాను అతడు అన్యజనులకు న్యాయము కనుపరచును.
2 అతడు కేకలు వేయడు అరువడు తన కంఠస్వరము వీధిలో వినబడనియ్యడు
3 నలిగిన రెల్లును అతడు విరువడు మకమకలాడుచున్న జనుపనార వత్తిని ఆర్పడు అతడు సత్యము ననుసరించి న్యాయము కనుపరచును.
4 భూలోకమున న్యాయము స్థాపించువరకు అతడు మందగిలడు నలుగుడుపడడు ద్వీపములు అతని బోధకొరకు కనిపెట్టును.
5 ఆకాశములను సృజించి వాటిని విశాలపరచి భూమిని అందులో పుట్టిన సమస్తమును పరచి దానిమీదనున్న జనులకు ప్రాణమును దానిలో నడచు వారికి జీవాత్మను ఇచ్చుచున్న దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.
6 గ్రుడ్డివారి కన్నులు తెరచుటకును బంధింపబడినవారిని చెరసాలలోనుండి వెలుపలికి తెచ్చుటకును చీకటిలో నివసించువారిని బందీగృహములోనుండి వెలుపలికి తెచ్చుటకును
7 యెహోవానగు నేనే నీతివిషయములలో నిన్ను పిలిచి నీ చేయి పట్టుకొనియున్నాను నిన్ను కాపాడి ప్రజలకొరకు నిబంధనగాను అన్య జనులకు వెలుగుగాను నిన్ను నియమించి యున్నాను.
8 యెహోవాను నేనే; ఇదే నా నామము మరి ఎవనికిని నా మహిమను నేనిచ్చువాడను కాను నాకు రావలసిన స్తోత్రమును విగ్రహములకు చెంద నియ్యను.
9 మునుపటి సంగతులు సంభవించెను గదా క్రొత్త సంగతులు తెలియజేయుచున్నాను పుట్టకమునుపే వాటిని మీకు తెలుపుచున్నాను.
10 సముద్రప్రయాణము చేయువారలారా, సముద్రము లోని సమస్తమా, ద్వీపములారా, ద్వీప నివాసులారా, యెహోవాకు క్రొత్త గీతము పాడుడి భూదిగంతములనుండి ఆయనను స్తుతించుడి.
11 అరణ్యమును దాని పురములును కేదారు నివాస గ్రామములును బిగ్గరగా పాడవలెను సెల నివాసులు సంతోషించుదురు గాక పర్వతముల శిఖరములనుండి వారు కేకలు వేయుదురు గాక.
12 ప్రభావముగలవాడని మనుష్యులు యెహోవాను కొని యాడుదురు గాక ద్వీపములలో ఆయన స్తోత్రము ప్రచురము చేయు దురు గాక
13 యెహోవా శూరునివలె బయలుదేరును యోధునివలె ఆయన తన ఆసక్తి రేపుకొనును ఆయన హుంకరించుచు తన శత్రువులను ఎదిరించును వారియెదుట తన పరాక్రమము కనుపరచుకొనును.
14 చిరకాలమునుండి నేను మౌనముగా ఉంటిని ఊరకొని నన్ను అణచుకొంటిని ప్రసవవేదనపడు స్త్రీవలె విడువకుండ నేను బలవంత ముగా ఊపిరితీయుచు ఒగర్చుచు రోజుచు నున్నాను.
15 పర్వతములను కొండలను పాడుచేయుదును వాటిమీది చెట్టుచేమలన్నిటిని ఎండిపోచేయుదును నదులను ద్వీపములుగా చేయుదును మడుగులను ఆరిపోచేయుదును.
16 వారెరుగనిమార్గమున గ్రుడ్డివారిని తీసికొని వచ్చెదను వారెరుగని త్రోవలలో వారిని నడిపింతును వారి యెదుట చీకటిని వెలుగుగాను వంకర త్రోవలను చక్కగాను చేయుదును నేను వారిని విడువక యీ కార్యములు చేయుదును
17 చెక్కినవిగ్రహములను ఆశ్రయించి పోతవిగ్రహ ములను చూచి మీరే మాకు దేవతలని చెప్పువారు వెనుకకు తొలగి కేవలము సిగ్గుపడుచున్నారు.
18 చెవిటివారలారా, వినుడి గ్రుడ్డివారలారా, మీరు గ్రహించునట్లు ఆలో చించుడి.
19 నా సేవకుడు తప్ప మరి ఎవడు గ్రుడ్డివాడు? నేను పంపు నా దూత తప్ప మరి ఎవడు చెవిటివాడు? నా భక్తుడు తప్ప మరి ఎవడు గ్రుడ్డివాడు? యెహోవా సేవకుడు తప్ప మరి ఎవడు గ్రుడ్డివాడు?
20 నీవు అనేక సంగతులను చూచుచున్నావు గాని గ్రహింపకున్నావు వారు చెవి యొగ్గిరిగాని వినకున్నారు.
21 యెహోవా తన నీతినిబట్టి సంతోషముగలవాడై ఉపదేశక్రమమొకటి ఘనపరచి గొప్పచేసెను.
22 అయినను ఈ జనము అపహరింపబడి దోపుడు సొమ్మాయెను. ఎవరును తప్పించుకొనకుండ వారందరు గుహలలో చిక్కుపడియున్నారు వారు బందీగృహములలో దాచబడియున్నారు దోపుడుపాలైరి విడిపించువాడెవడును లేడు అపహరింపబడిరి తిరిగి రప్పించుమని చెప్పువాడెవడును లేడు.
23 మీలో ఎవడు దానికి చెవి యొగ్గును? రాబోవుకాలమునకై ఎవడు ఆలకించి వినును?
24 యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా మనము పాపము చేసితివిు వారు ఆయన మార్గములలో నడవనొల్లకపోయిరి ఆయన ఉపదేశమును వారంగీకరింపకపోయిరి యాకోబును దోపుసొమ్ముగా అప్పగించినవాడు, దోచుకొనువారికి ఇశ్రాయేలును అప్పగించినవాడు యెహోవాయే గదా?
25 కావున ఆయన వానిమీద తన కోపాగ్నియు యుద్ధ బలమును కుమ్మరించెను అది వానిచుట్టు అగ్ని రాజచేసెను అయినను వాడు దాని గ్రహింపలేదు అది వానికి అంటుకొనెను గాని వాడు మనస్సున పెట్టలేదు.
1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.
13 The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
15 I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant?
20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the Lord, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
4 But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the Lord, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.
5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6 And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
7 And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8 And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
9 And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
10 So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11 And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
12 And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
13 But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
16 And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
17 And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
19 And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
20 But Samson’s wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.
