యెషయా గ్రంథము 40
1 మీ దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చిన మాట ఏదనగా,
2 నా జనులను ఓదార్చుడి ఓదార్చుడి యెరూషలేముతో ప్రేమగా మాటలాడుడి ఆమె యుద్ధకాలము సమాప్తమయ్యెను ఆమె దోషరుణము తీర్చబడెను యెహోవా చేతివలన ఆమె తన సమస్త పాపముల నిమిత్తము రెండింతలు పొందెనను సమాచారము ఆమెకు ప్రకటించుడి.
3 ఆలకించుడి, అడవిలో ఒకడు ప్రకటించుచున్నాడు ఎట్లనగా అరణ్యములో యెహోవాకు మార్గము సిద్ధ పరచుడి ఎడారిలో మా దేవుని రాజమార్గము సరాళము చేయుడి.
4 ప్రతి లోయను ఎత్తు చేయవలెను ప్రతి పర్వతమును ప్రతి కొండను అణచవలెను వంకరవి చక్కగాను కరుకైనవి సమముగాను ఉండ వలెను.
5 యెహోవా మహిమ బయలుపరచబడును ఒకడును తప్పకుండ సర్వశరీరులు దాని చూచెదరు ఈలాగున జరుగునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు.
6 ఆలకించుడి, ప్రకటించుమని యొకడు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చు చున్నాడు నేనేమి ప్రకటింతునని మరి యొకడడుగుచున్నాడు. సర్వశరీరులు గడ్డియై యున్నారు వారి అందమంతయు అడవిపువ్వువలె ఉన్నది
7 యెహోవా తన శ్వాసము దానిమీద ఊదగా గడ్డి యెండును పువ్వు వాడును నిశ్చయముగా జనులు గడ్డివంటివారే.
8 గడ్డి యెండిపోవును దాని పువ్వు వాడిపోవును మన దేవుని వాక్యము నిత్యము నిలుచును.
9 సీయోనూ, సువార్త ప్రటించుచున్నదానా, ఉన్నతపర్వతము ఎక్కుము యెరూషలేమూ, సువార్త ప్రకటించుచున్నదానా, బలముగా ప్రకటించుము భయపడక ప్రకటింపుమి ఇదిగో మీ దేవుడు అని యూదా పట్టణములకు ప్రకటించుము.
10 ఇదిగో తన బాహువే తన పక్షమున ఏలుచుండగా ప్రభువగు యెహోవా తానే శక్తిసంపన్నుడై వచ్చును ఆయన ఇచ్చు బహుమానము ఆయనయొద్దనున్నది ఆయన చేయు ప్రతికారము ఆయనకు ముందుగానడచుచున్నది.
11 గొఱ్ఱలకాపరివలె ఆయన తన మందను మేపును తన బాహువుతో గొఱ్ఱపిల్లలను కూర్చి రొమ్మున ఆనించుకొని మోయును పాలిచ్చువాటిని ఆయన మెల్లగా నడిపించును.
12 తన పుడిసిటిలో జలములు కొలిచినవాడెవడు? జేనతో ఆకాశముల కొల చూచినవాడెవడు? భూమిలోని మన్ను కొలపాత్రలో ఉంచినవాడెవడు? త్రాసుతో పర్వతములను తూచినవాడెవడు? తూనికచేత కొండలను తూచినవాడెవడు?
13 యెహోవా ఆత్మకు నేర్పినవాడెవడు? ఆయనకు మంత్రియై ఆయనకు బోధపరచినవాడెవడు? ఎవనియొద్ద ఆయన ఆలోచన అడిగెను?
14 ఆయనకు వివేకము కలుగజేసినవాడెవడు? న్యాయమార్గమును గూర్చి ఆయనకు నేర్పినవాడెవడు? ఆయనకు జ్ఞానమును ఆభ్యసింపజేసినవాడెవడు? ఆయనకు బుద్ధిమార్గము బోధించినవాడెవడు?
15 జనములు చేదనుండి జారు బిందువులవంటివి జనులు త్రాసుమీది ధూళివంటివారు ద్వీపములు గాలికి ఎగురు సూక్ష్మ రేణువులవలె నున్నవి.
16 సమిధలకు లెబానోను చాలకపోవును దహనబలికి దాని పశువులు చాలవు
17 ఆయన దృష్టికి సమస్త జనములు లేనట్టుగానే యుండును ఆయన దృష్టికి అవి అభావముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఎంచబడును.
18 కావున మీరు ఎవనితో దేవుని పోల్చుదురు? ఏ రూపమును ఆయనకు సాటిచేయగలరు?
19 విగ్రహమును చూడగా శిల్పి దానిని పోతపోయును కంసాలి దానిని బంగారు రేకులతో పొదుగును దానికి వెండి గొలుసులు చేయును
20 విలువగలదానిని అర్పింపజాలని నీరసుడు పుచ్చని మ్రాను ఏర్పరచుకొనును కదలని విగ్రహమును స్థాపించుటకు నేర్పుగల పని వాని వెదకి పిలుచుకొనును.
21 మీకు తెలియదా? మీరు వినలేదా? మొదటినుండి ఎవరును మీతో చెప్పలేదా? భూమిని స్థాపించుటనుబట్టి మీరుదాని గ్రహింపలేదా?
22 ఆయన భూమండలముమీద ఆసీనుడై యున్నాడు దాని నివాసులు మిడతలవలె కనబడుచున్నారు ఒకడు తెరను విప్పినట్లు ఆయన ఆకాశవైశాల్యమును వ్యాపింపజేసెను ఒకడు గుడారము వేసినట్లు ఆయన దానిని నివాస స్థలముగా ఏర్పరచెను.
23 రాజులను ఆయన లేకుండచేయును భూమియొక్క న్యాయాధిపతులను మాయాస్వరూపు లుగా చేయును.
24 వారు నాటబడగనే విత్తబడగనే వారి మొదలు భూమిలో వేరు తన్నకమునుపే ఆయన వారిమీద ఊదగా వారు వాడిపోవుదురు సుడిగాలి పొట్టును ఎగరగొట్టునట్లు ఆయన వారిని ఎగరగొట్టును.
25 నీవు ఇతనితో సమానుడవని మీరు నన్నెవనికి సాటి చేయుదురు? అని పరిశుద్ధుడు అడుగుచున్నాడు.
26 మీకన్నులు పైకెత్తి చూడుడి వీటిని ఎవడు సృజించెను? వీటి లెక్కచొప్పున వీటి సమూహములను బయలు దేరజేసి వీటన్నిటికిని పేరులు పెట్టి పిలుచువాడే గదా. తన అధికశక్తిచేతను తనకు కలిగియున్న బలాతిశయము చేతను ఆయన యొక్కటియైనను విడిచిపెట్టడు.
27 యాకోబూనా మార్గము యెహోవాకు మరుగై యున్నది నా న్యాయము నా దేవుని దృష్టికి కనబడలేదు అని నీవేల అనుచున్నావు? ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవేల ఈలాగు చెప్పుచున్నావు?
28 నీకు తెలియలేదా? నీవు వినలేదా? భూదిగంతములను సృజించిన యెహోవా నిత్యుడగు దేవుడు ఆయన సొమ్మసిల్లడు అలయడు ఆయన జ్ఞానమును శోధించుట అసాధ్యము.
29 సొమ్మసిల్లినవారికి బలమిచ్చువాడు ఆయనే శక్తిహీనులకు బలాభివృద్ధి కలుగజేయువాడు ఆయనే.
30 బాలురు సొమ్మసిల్లుదురు అలయుదురు ¸°వనస్థులు తప్పక తొట్రిల్లుదురు
31 యెహోవాకొరకు ఎదురు చూచువారు నూతన బలము పొందుదురు వారు పక్షిరాజులవలె రెక్కలు చాపి పైకి ఎగురుదురు అలయక పరుగెత్తుదురు సొమ్మసిల్లక నడిచిపోవుదురు.
1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
10 Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counseller hath taught him?
14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
4 But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the Lord, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.
5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6 And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
7 And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8 And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
9 And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
10 So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11 And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
12 And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
13 But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
16 And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
17 And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
19 And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
20 But Samson’s wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.
