Joshua 17:1
మనష్షే యోసేపు పెద్దకుమారుడు గనుక అతని గోత్రమునకు, అనగా మనష్షే పెద్ద కుమారుడును గిలాదు దేశాధిపతియునైన మాకీరునకు చీట్లవలన వంతువచ్చెను. అతడు యుద్ధవీరుడైనందున అతనికి గిలాదును బాషానును వచ్చెను.

అప్పుడు యోసేపు కుమారుడైన మనష్షే వంశస్థు లలో సెలోపెహాదు కుమార్తెలు వచ్చిరి. సెలోపెహాదు హెసెరు కుమారుడును గిలాదు మనుమడును మాకీరు మునిమనుమడునై యుండెను. అతని కుమార్తెల పేళ్లు మహలా, నోయా, హొగ్లా, మిల్కా, తిర్సా అనునవి.
