Ezra 8:18
మా దేవుని కరుణా హస్తము మాకు తోడుగా ఉన్నందున వారు ప్రజ్ఞావంతుడైన ఒకనిని షేరేబ్యాను అతని కుమారులను సహోదరులను, పదు నెనిమిదిమందిని తోడుకొని వచ్చిరి. ఆ ప్రజ్ఞావంతుడు మహలి కుమారులలో ఒకడు; ఈ మహలి ఇశ్రాయేలునకు పుట్టిన లేవి వంశస్థుడు.

మేలు కలుగజేయుటకై ఆయనను ఆశ్రయించు వారికందరికిని మా దేవుని హస్తము తోడుగా ఉండునుగాని, ఆయన హస్తమును ఆయన ఉగ్రతయు ఆయనను విసర్జించు వారందరిమీదికి వచ్చునని మేము రాజుతో చెప్పియుంటిమి గనుక మార్గ మందున్న శత్రువుల విషయమై మాకు సహాయము చేయునట్లు కాల్బలమును రౌతులును రాజునొద్ద కావలెనని మనవి చేయుటకు సిగ్గు నాకు తోచెను.

ఈ ఎజ్రా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా అనుగ్రహించిన మోషేయొక్క ధర్మశాస్త్రమందు ప్రవీణతగల శాస్త్రిమరియు అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా హస్తము అతనికి తోడుగా ఉన్నందున అతడు ఏ మనవి చేసినను రాజు అనుగ్రహించును.
