Proverbs 6
6 సోమరీ, చీమలయొద్దకు వెళ్లుము వాటి నడతలు కనిపెట్టి జ్ఞానము తెచ్చుకొనుము.
7 వాటికి న్యాయాధిపతి లేకున్నను పై విచారణకర్త లేకున్నను అధిపతి లేకున్నను
8 అవి వేసవికాలమందు ఆహారము సిద్ధపరచుకొనును కోతకాలమందు ధాన్యము కూర్చుకొనును.
9 సోమరీ, ఎందాక నీవు పండుకొనియుందువు? ఎప్పుడు నిద్రలేచెదవు?
10 ఇక కొంచెము నిద్రించెదనని కొంచెము కునికెదనని కొంచెముసేపు చేతులు ముడుచుకొని పరుండెదనని నీవనుచుందువు
11 అందుచేత దోపిడిగాడు వచ్చునట్లు దారిద్ర్యము నీయొద్దకు వచ్చును. ఆయుధధారుడు వచ్చునట్లు లేమి నీయొద్దకు వచ్చును.
6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
