Proverbs 23 - BBE (Telugu)

1 When you take your seat at the feast with a ruler, give thought with care to what is before you;నీవు ఏలికతో భోజనము చేయ కూర్చుండినయెడల నీవెవరి సమక్షమున నున్నావో బాగుగా యోచిం చుము.

2 And put a knife to your throat, if you have a strong desire for food.నీవు తిండిపోతువైనయెడల నీ గొంతుకకు కత్తి పెట్టుకొనుము.

3 Have no desire for his delicate food, for it is the bread of deceit.అతని రుచిగల పదార్థములను ఆశింపకుము అవి మోసపుచ్చు ఆహారములు.

4 Take no care to get wealth; let there be an end to your desire for money.ఐశ్వర్యము పొంద ప్రయాసపడకుము నీకు అట్టి అభిప్రాయము కలిగినను దాని విడిచిపెట్టుము.

5 Are your eyes lifted up to it? it is gone: for wealth takes to itself wings, like an eagle in flight up to heaven.నీవు దానిమీద దృష్టి నిలిపినతోడనే అది లేకపోవును నిశ్చయముగా అది రెక్కలు ధరించి యెగిరిపోవును. పక్షిరాజు ఆకాశమునకు ఎగిరిపోవునట్లు అది ఎగిరి పోవును.

6 Do not take the food of him who has an evil eye, or have any desire for his delicate meat:ఎదుటివాని మేలు ఓర్చలేనివానితో కలిసి భోజనము చేయకుము వాని రుచిగల పదార్థముల నాశింపకుము.

7 For as the thoughts of his heart are, so is he: Take food and drink, he says to you; but his heart is not with you.అట్టివాడు తన ఆంతర్యములో లెక్కలు చూచుకొను వాడు తినుము త్రాగుము అని అతడు నీతో చెప్పునే గాని అది హృదయములోనుండి వచ్చు మాట కాదు.

8 The food which you have taken will come up again, and your pleasing words will be wasted.నీవు తినినను తినినదానిని కక్కి వేయుదువు నీవు పలికిన యింపైన మాటలు వ్యర్థములగును.

9 Say nothing in the hearing of a foolish man, for he will put no value on the wisdom of your words.బుద్ధిహీనుడు వినగా మాటలాడకుము అట్టివాడు నీ మాటలలోని జ్ఞానమును తృణీకరించును.

10 Do not let the landmark of the widow be moved, and do not go into the fields of those who have no father;పురాతనమైన పొలిమేర రాతిని తీసివేయకుము తలిదండ్రులు లేనివారి పొలములోనికి నీవు చొరబడ కూడదు

11 For their saviour is strong, and he will take up their cause against you.వారి విమోచకుడు బలవంతుడు ఆయన వారిపక్షమున నీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడును.

12 Give your heart to teaching, and your ears to the words of knowledge.ఉపదేశముమీద మనస్సు నుంచుము తెలివిగల మాటలకు చెవి యొగ్గుము.

13 Do not keep back training from the child: for even if you give him blows with the rod, it will not be death to him.నీ బాలురను శిక్షించుట మానుకొనకుము బెత్తముతో వాని కొట్టినయెడల వాడు చావకుండును

14 Give him blows with the rod, and keep his soul safe from the underworld.బెత్తముతో వాని కొట్టినయెడల పాతాళమునకు పోకుండ వాని ఆత్మను నీవు తప్పించె దవు.

15 My son, if your heart becomes wise, I, even I, will be glad in heart;నా కుమారుడా, నీ హృదయమునకు జ్ఞానము లభించిన యెడల నా హృదయముకూడ సంతోషించును.

16 And my thoughts in me will be full of joy when your lips say right things.నీ పెదవులు యథార్థమైన మాటలు పలుకుట విని నా అంతరింద్రియములు ఆనందించును.

17 Have no envy of sinners in your heart, but keep in the fear of the Lord all through the day;పాపులను చూచి నీ హృదయమునందు మత్సరపడకుము నిత్యము యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి యుండుము.

18 For without doubt there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.నిశ్చయముగా ముందు గతి రానే వచ్చును నీ ఆశ భంగము కానేరదు.

19 Give ear, my son, and be wise, guiding your heart in the right way.నా కుమారుడా, నీవు విని జ్ఞానము తెచ్చుకొనుము నీ హృదయమును యథార్థమైన త్రోవలయందు చక్కగా నడిపించుకొనుము.

20 Do not be among those who give themselves to wine-drinking, or among those who make themselves full with meat:ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగువారితోనైనను మాంసము హెచ్చుగాతినువారితోనైనను సహ వాసము చేయకుము.

21 For those who take delight in drink and feasting will come to be in need; and through love of sleep a man will be poorly clothed.త్రాగుబోతులును తిండిపోతులును దరిద్రులగుదురు. నిద్రమత్తు చింపిగుడ్డలు ధరించుటకు కారణమగును.

22 Give ear to your father whose child you are, and do not keep honour from your mother when she is old.నిన్ను కనిన నీ తండ్రి ఉపదేశము అంగీకరించుము నీ తల్లి ముదిమియందు ఆమెను నిర్లక్ష్యము చేయకుము.

23 Get for yourself that which is true, and do not let it go for money; get wisdom and teaching and good sense.సత్యమును అమి్మవేయక దాని కొనియుంచు కొనుము జ్ఞానమును ఉపదేశమును వివేకమును కొనియుంచు కొనుము.

24 The father of the upright man will be glad, and he who has a wise child will have joy because of him.నీతిమంతుని తండ్రికి అధిక సంతోషము కలుగును జ్ఞానముగలవానిని కనినవాడు వానివలన ఆనందము నొందును.

25 Let your father and your mother be glad, let her who gave you birth have joy.నీ తలిదండ్రులను నీవు సంతోషపెట్టవలెను నిన్ను కనిన తల్లిని ఆనందపరచవలెను.

26 My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes take delight in my ways.నా కుమారుడా, నీ హృదయమును నాకిమ్ము నా మార్గములు నీ కన్నులకు ఇంపుగా నుండనిమ్ము,

27 For a loose woman is a deep hollow, and a strange woman is a narrow water-hole.వేశ్య లోతైన గొయ్యి పరస్త్రీ యిరుకైన గుంట.

28 Yes, she is waiting secretly like a beast for its food, and deceit by her is increased among men.దోచుకొనువాడు పొంచియుండునట్లు అది పొంచి యుండును అది బహుమందిని విశ్వాసఘాతకులనుగా చేయును.

29 Who says, Oh! who says, Ah! who has violent arguments, who has grief, who has wounds without cause, whose eyes are dark?ఎవరికి శ్రమ? ఎవరికి దుఃఖము? ఎవరికి జగడములు? ఎవరికి చింత? ఎవరికి హేతువులేని గాయములు?ఎవరికి మంద దృష్టి?

30 Those who are seated late over the wine: those who go looking for mixed wine.ద్రాక్షారసముతో ప్రొద్దుపుచ్చువారికే గదా కలిపిన ద్రాక్షారసము రుచిచూడ చేరువారికే గదా.

31 Keep your eyes from looking on the wine when it is red, when its colour is bright in the cup, when it goes smoothly down:ద్రాక్షారసము మిక్కిలి ఎఱ్ఱబడగను గిన్నెలో తళతళలాడుచుండగను త్రాగుటకు రుచిగా నుండగను దానివైపు చూడకుము.

32 In the end, its bite is like that of a snake, its wound like the wound of a poison-snake.పిమ్మట అది సర్పమువలె కరచును కట్లపామువలె కాటువేయును.

33 Your eyes will see strange things, and you will say twisted things.విపరీతమైనవి నీ కన్నులకు కనబడును నీవు వెఱ్ఱిమాటలు పలుకుదువు

34 Yes, you will be like him who takes his rest on the sea, or on the top of a sail-support.నీవు నడిసముద్రమున పండుకొనువానివలె నుందువు ఓడకొయ్య చివరను పండుకొనువానివలె నుందువు.

35 They have overcome me, you will say, and I have no pain; they gave me blows without my feeling them: when will I be awake from my wine? I will go after it again.నన్ను కొట్టినను నాకు నొప్పి కలుగలేదు నామీద దెబ్బలు పడినను నాకు తెలియలేదు నేనెప్పుడు నిద్ర మేల్కొందును? మరల దాని వెదకుదును అని నీవనుకొందువు.
