1 Yahweh said to Moses, "Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, 'A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people;మరియు యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇట్లనెను.

2 except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,యాజ కులగు అహరోను కుమారులతో ఇట్లనుముమీలో ఎవ డును తన ప్రజలలో శవమును ముట్టుటవలన తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచుకొనరాదు. అయితే తనకు సమీప రక్త సంబంధులు, అనగా తన తల్లి, తండ్రి, కుమారుడు, కుమార్తె, సహోదరుడు,

3 and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.తనకు సమీపముగానున్న శుద్ధ సహోదరియగు అవివాహిత కన్యక, అను వీరియొక్క శవమునుముట్టి తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచు కొనవచ్చును.

4 He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.అతడు తన ప్రజలలో యజమానుడు గనుక తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచు కొని సామాన్యునిగా చేసికొనరాదు.

5 "'They shall not shave their heads, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beards, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.వారు తమ తలలు బోడిచేసికొనరాదు. గడ్డపు ప్రక్కలను క్షౌరము చేసికొన రాదు, కత్తితో దేహమును కోసికొనరాదు.

6 They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.వారు తమ దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితమైనవారుగా ఉండవలెను. కావున వారు తమ దేవుని నామమును అపవిత్రపరచరాదు. ఏలయనగా వారు తమ దేవునికి అహారమును, అనగా యెహోవాకు హోమద్రవ్యములను అర్పించువారు; కావున వారు పరిశుద్ధులై యుండవలెను.

7 "'They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane; neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband: for he is holy to his God.వారు జార స్త్రీనే గాని భ్రష్టురాలినేగాని పెండ్లిచేసికొనకూడదు. పెనిమిటి విడనాడిన స్త్రీని పెండ్లి చేసికొనకూడదు. ఏలయనగా యాజకుడు తన దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితుడు.

8 You shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of your God: he shall be holy to you: for I Yahweh, who sanctify you, am holy.అతడు నీ దేవునికి ఆహారమును అర్పించువాడు గనుక నీవు అతని పరిశుద్ధపరచ వలెను. మిమ్మును పరిశుద్ధపరచు యెహోవా అను నేను పరిశుద్ధుడను గనుక అతడు మీ దృష్టికి పరిశుద్ధుడు కావ లెను.

9 "'The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father: she shall be burned with fire.మరియు యాజకుని కుమార్తె జారత్వమువలన తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచు కొనినయెడల ఆమె తన తండ్రిని అపవిత్ర పరచునది. అగ్నితో ఆమెను దహింపవలెను.

10 "'He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, nor tear his clothes;ప్రధానయాజకుడగుటకై తన సహోదరులలో ఎవరి తలమీద అభిషేకతైలము పోయబడునో, యాజకవస్త్రములు వేసికొనుటకు ఎవరు ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడునో అతడు తన తలకప్పును తీయరాదు; తన బట్టలను చింపుకొనరాదు;

11 neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;అతడు శవముదగ్గరకు పోరాదు; తన తండ్రి శవమువలననే గాని తన తల్లి శవమువలననే గాని తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచుకొన రాదు.

12 neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am Yahweh.​దేవుని అభిషేక తైలము అనెడు కిరీటముగా అతని మీద ఉండును గనుక అతడు పరిశుద్ధమందిరమును విడిచి వెళ్లరాదు; తన దేవుని పరిశుద్ధమందిరమును అపవిత్రపరచ రాదు; నేను యెహోవాను

13 "'He shall take a wife in her virginity.​అతడు కన్యకను పెండ్లిచేసి కొనవలెను.

14 A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry: but a virgin of his own people shall he take as a wife.విధవరాలినైనను విడనాడబడినదానినైనను భ్రష్టురాలినైనను, అనగా జారస్త్రీనైనను అట్టివారిని పెండ్లిచేసికొనక తన ప్రజలలోని కన్యకనే పెండ్లి చేసికొన వలెను.

15 He shall not profane his seed among his people: for I am Yahweh who sanctifies him.'"యెహోవా అను నేను అతని పరి శుద్ధపరచు వాడను గనుక అతడు తన ప్రజలలో తన సంతానమును అపవిత్రపరచకూడదని వారితో చెప్పుము.

16 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

17 "Say to Aaron, 'None of your seed throughout their generations who has a blemish, may approach to offer the bread of his God.నీవు అహరోనుతో ఇట్లనుమునీ సంతతివారిలో ఒకనికి కళంకమేదైనను కలిగినయెడల అతడు తన దేవునికి ఆహారము అర్పించుటకు సమీపింపకూడదు.

18 For whatever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,ఏలయనగా ఎవనియందు కళంకముండునో వాడు గ్రుడ్డివాడేగాని కుంటివాడేగాని ముక్కిడివాడేగాని విపరీతమైన అవ యవముగల వాడే గాని

19 or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,​కాలైనను చేయినైనను విరిగినవాడే గాని

20 or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles;​గూనివాడేగాని గుజ్జువాడేగాని కంటిలో పువ్వు గల వాడేగాని గజ్జిగలవాడేగాని చిరుగుడుగలవాడేగాని వృషణములు నలిగినవాడేగాని సమీపింపకూడదు.

21 no man of the seed of Aaron the priest, who has a blemish, shall come near to offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Since has a blemish, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.యాజకుడైన అహరోను సంతానములో కళంకముగల యే మనుష్యుడును యెహోవాకు హోమద్రవ్యములను అర్పిం చుటకు సమీపింపకూడదు. అతడు కళంకముగలవాడు; అట్టివాడు తన దేవునికి ఆహారము అర్పించుటకు సమీపింప కూడదు.

22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.అతి పరిశుద్ధమైనవేగాని, పరిశుద్ధమైనవేగాని, తన దేవునికి అర్పింపబడు ఏ ఆహారవస్తువులనైనను అతడు తినవచ్చును.

23 He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a blemish; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.'"మెట్టుకు అతడు కళంకముగలవాడు గనుక అడ్డతెరయెదుటికి చేరకూడదు; బలిపీఠమును సమీ పింపకూడదు;

24 So Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.నా పరిశుద్ధస్థలములను అపవిత్రపరచకూడదు; వారిని పరిశుద్ధపరచు యెహోవాను నేనే అని వారితో చెప్పుము. అట్లు మోషే అహరోనుతోను, అతని కుమారులతోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితోను చెప్పెను.
