Exodus 17:3
అక్కడ ప్రజలు నీళ్లులేక దప్పిగొని మోషేమీద సణుగుచుఇదెందుకు? మమ్మును మా పిల్లలను మా పశువులను దప్పిచేత చంపుటకు ఐగుప్తులో నుండి ఇక్కడికి తీసి కొని వచ్చితిరనిరి.

| murmured | הָעָ֖ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |

| Moses, | מֹשֶׁ֑ה | mōše | moh-SHEH |
| and said, | וַיֹּ֗אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| Wherefore | לָ֤מָּה | lāmmâ | LA-ma |
| is this | זֶּה֙ | zeh | zeh |
| brought hast thou that | הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֣נוּ | heʿĕlîtānû | heh-ay-lee-TA-noo |
| Egypt, of out up us | מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם | mimmiṣrayim | mee-meets-RA-yeem |
| to kill | לְהָמִ֥ית | lĕhāmît | leh-ha-MEET |
| children our and us | אֹתִ֛י | ʾōtî | oh-TEE |
| and our cattle | וְאֶת | wĕʾet | veh-ET |
| with thirst? | בָּנַ֥י | bānay | ba-NAI |
