మోషే సముద్రముమీద తన చెయ్యి చాపగా ప్రొద్దు పొడిచినప్పుడు సముద్రము అధిక బలముతో తిరిగి పొర్లెను గనుక ఐగుప్తీయులు అది చూచి వెనుకకు పారిపోయిరి. అప్పుడు యెహోవా సముద్రముమధ్యను ఐగుప్తీయులను నాశము చేసెను.
