యెర్దానునకు అవతలనున్న ఆఠదు కళ్లమునొద్దకు చేరి అక్కడ బహు ఘోరముగా అంగలార్చిరి. అతడు తన తండ్రినిగూర్చి యేడు దినములు దుఃఖము సలిపెను.

ఆ దేశమందు నివసించిన కనానీయులు ఆఠదు కళ్లము నొద్ద ఆ దుఃఖము సలుపుట చూచిఐగుప్తీయులకు ఇది మిక్కటమైన దుఃఖమని చెప్పుకొనిరి గనుక దానికి ఆబేల్ మిస్రాయిము అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను, అది యొర్దానునకు అవతల నున్నది.
