Deuteronomy 21
15 ప్రేమింపబడునదొకతెయు ద్వేషింపబడునదొక తెయు ఇద్దరు భార్యలు ఒక పురుషునికి కలిగియుండి, ప్రేమింపబడినదియు ద్వేషింపబడినదియు వానివలన బిడ్డలు కని
16 జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడు ద్వేషింపబడినదాని కొడుకైన యెడల, తండ్రి తనకు కలిగినదానిని తన కుమారులకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చునాడు ద్వేషింపబడినదాని కుమారుడైన జ్యేష్ఠునికి మారుగా ప్రేమింపబడినదాని కుమారుని జ్యేష్ఠునిగా చేయకూడదు.
17 ద్వేషింపబడినదాని కుమారు నికి తండ్రి తన ఆస్తి అంతటిలో రెట్టింపు భాగమిచ్చి వానినే జ్యేష్ఠునిగా ఎంచవలెను. వీడు వాని బలప్రారం భము గనుక జ్యేష్ఠత్వాధికారము వీనిదే.
15 If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
16 Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
17 But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.
