గత్హేపెరు ఊరివాడైన అమిత్తయికి పుట్టిన తన సేవకుడైన యోనా అను ప్రవక్తద్వారా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాట చొప్పున ఇతడు హమాతునకుపోవు మార్గము మొదలుకొని మైదానపు సముద్రము వరకు ఇశ్రాయేలువారి సరి హద్దును మరల స్వాధీనము చేసికొనెను.
