1 Samuel 28:21
అప్పుడు ఆ స్త్రీ సౌలు దగ్గరకువచ్చి, అతడు బహుగా కలవరపడుట చూచినా యేలిన వాడా, నీ దాసినైన నేను నీ ఆజ్ఞకు లోబడి నా ప్రాణము నా చేతిలో పెట్టుకొని నీవు నాతో సెలవిచ్చిన మాటలను విని అట్లు చేసితిని.

| sore was he | נִבְהַ֣ל | nibhal | neev-HAHL |
| troubled, | מְאֹ֑ד | mĕʾōd | meh-ODE |
| and said | וַתֹּ֣אמֶר | wattōʾmer | va-TOH-mer |
| unto | אֵלָ֗יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
| Behold, him, | הִנֵּ֨ה | hinnē | hee-NAY |
| thine handmaid | שָֽׁמְעָ֤ה | šāmĕʿâ | sha-meh-AH |
| hath obeyed | שִׁפְחָֽתְךָ֙ | šipḥātĕkā | sheef-ha-teh-HA |
| voice, thy | בְּקוֹלֶ֔ךָ | bĕqôlekā | beh-koh-LEH-ha |
| and I have put | וָֽאָשִׂ֤ים | wāʾāśîm | va-ah-SEEM |
| life my | נַפְשִׁי֙ | napšiy | nahf-SHEE |
| in my hand, | בְּכַפִּ֔י | bĕkappî | beh-ha-PEE |
| hearkened have and | וָֽאֶשְׁמַע֙ | wāʾešmaʿ | va-esh-MA |
| unto | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| thy words | דְּבָרֶ֔יךָ | dĕbārêkā | deh-va-RAY-ha |
| which | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| thou spakest | דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ | dibbartā | dee-BAHR-ta |
| unto | אֵלָֽי׃ | ʾēlāy | ay-LAI |
