1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,ప్రభువు దయాళుడని మీరు రుచిచూచియున్న యెడల

2 as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation;సమస్తమైన దుష్టత్వమును, సమస్తమైన కపటమును, వేషధారణను, అసూయను, సమస్త దూషణ మాటలను మాని,

3 if ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious:క్రొత్తగా జన్మించిన శిశువులను పోలినవారై, నిర్మల మైన వాక్యమను పాలవలన రక్షణ విషయములో ఎదుగు నిమిత్తము, ఆ పాలను అపేక్షించుడి.

4 unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,మనుష్యులచేత విసర్జింపబడినను, దేవుని దృష్టికి ఏర్పరచబడినదియు అమూల్యమును సజీవమునైన రాయియగు ప్రభువునొద్దకు వచ్చిన వారై,

5 ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.యేసుక్రీస్తుద్వారా దేవునికి అనుకూలము లగు ఆత్మసంబంధమైన బలులనర్పించుటకు పరిశుద్ధయాజ కులుగా ఉండునట్లు, మీరును సజీవమైన రాళ్లవలెనుండి ఆత్మ సంబంధమైన మందిరముగా కట్టబడుచున్నారు.

6 Because it is contained in scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.ఏలయనగా ఇదిగో నేను ముఖ్యమును ఏర్పరచబడినదియు అమూల్యమునగు మూలరాతిని సీయోనులొ స్థాపించుచున్నాను; ఆయనయందు విశ్వాసముంచు వాడు ఏమాత్రమును సిగ్గుపడడు అను మాట లేఖనమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

7 For you therefore that believe is the preciousness: but for such as disbelieve, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner;విశ్వ సించుచున్న మీకు, ఆయన అమూల్యమైనవాడు; విశ్వ సింపనివారికైతే ఇల్లు కట్టువారు ఏ రాతిని నిషేధించిరో అదే మూలకు తలరాయి ఆయెను. మరియు అది అడ్డురాయియు అడ్డుబండయు ఆయెను.

8 and, A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; for they stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.కట్టువారు వాక్యమున కవిధేయులై తొట్రిల్లుచున్నారు, దానికే వారు నియమింపబడిరి.

9 But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for `God's' own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:అయితే మీరు చీకటిలోనుండి ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన తన వెలుగులోనికి మిమ్మును పిలిచిన వాని గుణాతిశయములను ప్రచురముచేయు నిమిత్తము, ఏర్పరచబడిన వంశమును, రాజులైన యాజకసవ

10 who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.ఒకప్పుడు ప్రజగా ఉండక యిప్పుడు దేవుని ప్రజయైతిరి; ఒకప్పుడు కనికరింపబడక యిప్పుడు కనికరింపబడినవారైతిరి.

11 Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lust, which war against the soul;ప్రియులారా, మీరు పరదేశులును యాత్రికులునై యున్నారు గనుక ఆత్మకు విరోధముగా పోరాడు శరీరాశ లను విసర్జించి,

12 having your behavior seemly among the Gentiles; that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.అన్యజనులు మిమ్మును ఏ విషయములో దుర్మార్గులని దూషింతురో, ఆ విషయములో వారు మీ సత్‌క్రియలను చూచి, వాటినిబట్టి దర్శనదినమున దేవుని మహిమపరచునట్లు, వారి మధ్యను మం

13 Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;మనుష్యులు నియమించు ప్రతి కట్టడకును ప్రభువు నిమిత్తమై లోబడియుండుడి.

14 or unto governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evil-doers and for praise to them that do well.రాజు అందరికిని అధిపతి యనియు, నాయకులు దుర్మార్గులకు ప్రతిదండన చేయుట కును సన్మార్గులకు మెప్పు కలుగుటకును రాజువలన పంప బడినవారనియు వారికి లోబడియుండుడి.

15 For so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:ఏలయనగా మీరిట్లు యుక్తప్రవర్తన గలవారై, అజ్ఞానముగా మాటలాడు మూర్ఖుల నోరు మూయుట దేవుని చిత్తము.

16 as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.స్వతంత్రులై యుండియు దుష్టత్వమును కప్పి పెట్టుటకు మీ స్వాతంత్ర్య మును వినియోగపరచక, దేవునికి దాసులమని లోబడి యుండుడి.

17 Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.అందరిని సన్మానించుడి, సహోదరులను ప్రేమించుడి, దేవునికి భయపడుడి, రాజును సన్మానించుడి.

18 Servants, `be' in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.పనివారలారా, మంచివారును సాత్వికులునైనవారికి మాత్రము కాక ముష్కరులైన మీ యజమానులకును పూర్ణభయముతో లోబడియుండుడి.

19 For this is acceptable, if for conscience toward God a man endureth griefs, suffering wrongfully.ఎవడైనను అన్యాయ ముగా శ్రమపొందుచు, దేవునిగూర్చిన మనస్సాక్షికలిగి, దుఃఖము సహించినయెడల అది హితమగును.

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted `for it', ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer `for it', ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.తప్పిద మునకై దెబ్బలు తినినప్పుడు మీరు సహించినయెడల మీకేమి ఘనము? మేలుచేసి బాధపడునప్పుడు మీరు సహించినయెడల అది దేవునికి హితమగును;

21 For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:ఇందుకు మీరు పిలువబడితిరి.క్రీస్తుకూడ మీకొరకు బాధపడి, మీరు తన అడుగుజాడలయందు నడుచుకొనునట్లు మీకు మాదిరి యుంచి పోయెను.

22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:ఆయన పాపము చేయలేదు; ఆయన నోటను ఏ కపటమును కనబడలేదు.

23 who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered threatened not; but committed `himself' to him that judgeth righteously:ఆయన దూషింప బడియు బదులు దూషింపలేదు; ఆయన శ్రమపెట్టబడియు బెదిరింపక, న్యాయముగా తీర్పు తీర్చు దేవునికి తన్ను తాను అప్పగించుకొనెను.

24 who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.మనము పాపముల విషయమై చనిపోయి, నీతివిషయమై జీవించునట్లు, ఆయన తానే తన శరీరమందు మన పాపములను మ్రానుమీద మోసి కొనెను. ఆయన పొందిన గాయములచేత మీరు స్వస్థత నొందితిరి.

25 For ye were going astray like sheep; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.మీరు గొఱ్ఱలవలె దారితప్పిపోతిరి గాని యిప్పుడు మీ ఆత్మల కాపరియు అధ్యక్షుడునైన ఆయన వైపునకు మళ్లియున్నారు.
