ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே வேலைசெய்யும் சேனைக்கு உட்படத்தக்க முப்பது வயதுமுதல் ஐம்பது வயதுவரைக்குமுள்ள எல்லாரையும் எண்ணி, தொகையிடுவாயாக.

அப்பொழுது முப்பது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட லேவியர் பேர்பேராக எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள், தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்ட அவர்களுடைய இலக்கம் முப்பத்தெண்ணாயிரம்.

தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய குடும்பங்களின்படியே, பிதாக்களில் தலைமையாயிருந்த லேவி புத்திரரின் பேர்டாப்பின்படியே, தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்ட இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட இவர்களுடைய சந்ததியார் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துப் பணிவிடையைச் செய்தார்கள்.
