பின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் பெனெயாக்கானுக்கடுத்த பேரோத்திலேயிருந்து மோசெராவுக்குப் பிரயாணம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அங்கே ஆரோன் மரித்து அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்திலே அவன் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசார் ஆசாரியனானான்.

ஆரோனின் பரிசுத்த வஸ்திரங்கள், அவனுக்குப்பின், அவனுடைய குமாரரைச் சேரும்; அவர்கள் அவைகளை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு, அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்பட்டுப் பிரதிஷ்டையாக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

ஆரோன் உடுத்திருக்கிற வஸ்திரங்களைக் கழற்றி, அவைகளை அவன் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கு உடுத்துவாயாக; ஆரோன் அங்கே மரித்து, தன் ஜனத்தாரோடே சேர்க்கப்படுவான் என்றார்.

கர்த்தருடைய சபை மேய்ப்பன் இல்லாத மந்தையைப்போல் இராதபடிக்கு,

அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோன் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே ஓர் என்னும் மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, அங்கே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாற்பதாம் வருஷம் ஐந்தாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியிலே மரணமடைந்தான்.

பின்பு மோசே யோசுவாவை அழைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரும் பார்த்திருக்க, அவனை நோக்கி பலங்கொண்டு திடமனதாயிரு; கர்த்தர் இவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று இவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்துக்கு நீ இந்த ஜனத்தை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அதை இவர்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படிசெய்வாய்.

நீ எரிகோவுக்கு எதிரான மோவாப் தேசத்திலுள்ள இந்த அபாரீம் என்னும் மலைகளிலிருக்கிற நேபோ பர்வதத்திலேறி, நான் இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாருக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகக் கொடுக்கும் கானான் தேசத்தைப் பார்;

அப்படியே கர்த்தரின் தாசனாகிய மோசே மோவாப் தேசமான அவ்விடத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே மரித்தான்.

மோசே நூனின் குமரனாகிய யோசுவாவின்மேல் தன் கைகளை வைத்தபடியினால் அவன் ஞானத்தின் ஆவினால் நிறையப்பட்டான்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே செய்தார்கள்.

இப்போதும் என் குமாரனே, நீ பாக்கியவானாயிருந்து, கர்த்தர் உன்னைக் குறித்துச் சொன்னபடியே உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டும்படி, அவர் உன்னுடனேகூட இருப்பாராக.

தன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய, தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலின் பிரபுக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் கற்பித்துச் சொன்னது.

கர்த்தர் எனக்கு அநேகம் குமாரரைத் தந்தருளினார்; ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளும் கர்த்தருடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்காருகிறதற்கு அவர் என்னுடைய எல்லாக் குமாரரிலும் என் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு,

இதோ, நான் உங்களுக்குள்ளே சஞ்சரித்து, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக் குறித்துப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணினதைக் கேட்டவர்களாகிய நீங்களெல்லாரும் இனி என் முகத்தைப் பார்க்கமாட்டீர்களென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.

இவரோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறபடியினாலே, மாறிப்போகாத ஆசாரியத்துவமுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்.

மேலும், நான் சென்றுபோனபின்பு இவைகளை நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் நினைத்துக்கொள்ள ஏதுவுண்டாயிருக்கும்படி பிரயத்தனம்பண்ணுவேன்.
