தாவீதும் ஆசாப்பும் இருந்த பூர்வநாட்களில் பாடகரின் தலைவரும் வைக்கப்பட்டு, தேவனுக்குத் துதியும் தோத்திரங்களும் செலுத்துகிற சங்கீதங்கள் திட்டம்பண்ணப்பட்டிருந்தது.

ஆகையினால் இதோ, அவர்கள் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ளமாட்டாத தீங்கை அவர்கள்மேல் வரச்செய்வேன்; அப்பொழுது என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவார்கள்; நான் அவர்களைக் கேளாதிருப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

எனவே கர்த்தர், “யூதாவின் ஜனங்களுக்கு விரைவில் பயங்கரமான சில காரியங்கள் ஏற்படும்படி செய்வேன். அவர்களால் அவற்றிலிருந்து தப்பிக்க முடியாது. அவர்கள் வருத்தப்படுவார்கள். அவர்கள் என்னிடம் உதவிக்காக அழுவார்கள். ஆனால் நான் அவர்களை கவனிக்கமாட்டேன்.
