பொழுது விடிந்தவுடனே, பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் மூப்பரும் வேதபாரகரும் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தாரனைவரும் கூடி ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, இயேசுவைக் கட்டிக் கொண்டுபோய், பிலாத்துவினிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்கள்.

விடியற்காலமானபோது ஜனத்தின் மூப்பரும் பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் கூடிவந்து, தங்கள் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தில் அவரைக் கொண்டுவந்து நிறுத்தி:

அவர்கள் காய்பாவினிடத்திலிருந்து இயேசுவைத் தேசாதிபதியின் அரமனைக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அப்பொழுது விடியற்காலமாயிருந்தது. தீட்டுப்படாமல் பஸ்காவைப் புசிக்கத்தக்கதாக, அவர்கள் தேசாதிபதியின் அரமனைக்குள் பிரவேசியாதிருந்தார்கள்.

பொல்லாப்புச் செய்தாலொழிய அவர்களுக்கு நித்திரை வராது; அவர்கள் யாரையாகிலும் விழப்பண்ணாதிருந்தால் அவர்கள் தூக்கம் கலைந்துபோம்.

அக்கிரமத்தை யோசித்து, தங்கள் படுக்கைகளின்மேல் பொல்லாப்புசெய்ய எத்தனம்பண்ணித் தங்கள் கையில் வல்லமை இருக்கிறபடியினால், விடியற்காலமாகிறபோது அதை நடப்பித்து.
