அப்பொழுது கிதியோன், அவர் கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் என்று அறிந்து: ஐயோ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, நான் கர்த்தருடைய தூதனை முகமுகமாக பார்த்தேனே என்றான்.

அப்போது கிதியோன் தான் கர்த்தருடைய தூதனோடு பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்ததை உணர்ந்தான். எனவே கிதியோன், “சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தாவே! நான் கர்த்தருடைய தூதனை நேருக்கு நேராகச் சந்தித்தேன்!” என்று சத்தமிட்டான்.

அப்போது கிதியோன் அவர் ஆண்டவரின் தூதர் என அறிந்து கொண்டார். கிதியோன், “ஐயோ! இவர் என் தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர்! ஆண்டவரின் தூதரை நேருக்கு நேராக நான் பார்த்துவிட்டேனே!” என்றார்.
