அப்பொழுது லோத்து புறப்பட்டு, தன் குமாரத்திகளை விவாகம்பண்ணப்போகிற தன் மருமக்கள்மாரோடே பேசி: நீங்கள் எழுந்து இந்த ஸ்தலத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்படுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் இந்தப் பட்டணத்தை அழிக்கப் போகிறார் என்றான்; அவனுடைய மருமக்கள்மாரின் பார்வைக்கு அவன் பரியாசம்பண்ணுகிறதாகக் கண்டது.

உள்ளே போய்த் தங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பின்னாக அவன் கதவைப் பூட்டி, கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்து,

ஓரோனியனான சன்பல்லாத்தும், அம்மோனியனான தொபியா என்னும் ஊழியக்காரனும், அரபியனான கேஷேமும் இதைக் கேட்டபோது, எங்களைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணி, எங்களை நிந்தித்து: நீங்கள் செய்கிற இந்தக் காரியம் என்ன? நீங்கள் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்பண்ணப்போகிறீர்களோ என்றார்கள்.

எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும்; நிந்தனையினால் மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறோம்.

பரிசுத்தமானதை நாய்களுக்குக் கொடாதேயுங்கள்; உங்கள் முத்துகளைப் பன்றிகள்முன் போடாதேயுங்கள்; போட்டால் தங்கள் கால்களால் அவைகளை மிதித்து, திரும்பிக்கொண்டு உங்களைப் பீறிப்போடும்.

விலகுங்கள், இந்தச் சிறுபெண் மரிக்கவில்லை, நித்திரையாயிருக்கிறாள் என்றார். அதற்காக அவரைப்பார்த்து நகைத்தார்கள்.

அவள் மரித்துப்போனாளென்று அவர்கள் அறிந்ததினால், அவரைப் பார்த்து நகைத்தார்கள்.
