நீங்கள் என்னைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை, நான் உங்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்; நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே பிதாவைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்வது எதுவோ, அதை அவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கத்தக்கதாக நீங்கள் போய்க் கனிகொடுக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்கள் கனி நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், நான் உங்களை ஏற்படுத்தினேன்.

அவர் தம்முடைய பன்னிரண்டு சீஷரையும் வரவழைத்து, சகல பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்தவும், வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைக் குணமாக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு வல்லமையும் அதிகாரமும் கொடுத்து,

இவைகளுக்குப் பின்பு கர்த்தர் வேறே எழுபதுபேரை நியமித்து, தாம் போகும் சகல பட்டணங்களுக்கும் இடங்களுக்கும் அவர்களைத் தமக்கு முன்னே இரண்டிரண்டு பேராக அனுப்பினார்.

அன்றியும் மனந்திரும்புதலும் பாவமன்னிப்பும் எருசலேம் தொடங்கிச் சகலதேசத்தாருக்கும் அவருடைய நாமத்தினாலே பிரசங்கிக்கப்படவும் வேண்டியது.

பரிசுத்த ஆவி உங்களிடத்தில் வரும்போது நீங்கள் பெலனடைந்து, எருசலேமிலும், யூதேயா முழுவதிலும், சமாரியாவிலும், பூமியின் கடைசிபரியந்தமும், எனக்குச் சாட்சிகளாயிருப்பீர்கள் என்றார்.

எல்லாருடைய இருதயங்களையும் அறிந்திருக்கிற கர்த்தாவே, யூதாஸ் என்பவன் தனக்குரிய இடத்துக்குப் போகும்படி இழந்துபோன இந்த ஊழியத்திலும் இந்த அப்போஸ்தலப்பட்டத்திலும் பங்குபெறுவதற்காக,

மனுஷராலுமல்ல, மனுஷன் மூலமாயுமல்ல, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும், அவரை மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுப்பின பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும், அப்போஸ்தலனாயிருக்கிற பவுலாகிய நானும்,

அப்படியிருந்தும், நான் என் தாயின் வயிற்றிலிருந்தது முதல், என்னைப் பிரித்தெடுத்து, தம்முடைய கிருபையினால் அழைத்த தேவன்,
