பின்பு அவர் ஒரு மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, தமக்குச் சித்தமானவர்களைத் தம்மிடத்தில் வரவழைத்தார்; அவர்கள் அவரிடத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள்.

அவர் பன்னிருவரையும் அழைத்து, அசுத்த ஆவிகளைத் துரத்த அதிகாரங்கொடுத்து,

அப்பொழுது அப்போஸ்தலர் இயேசுவினிடத்தில் கூடிவந்து, தாங்கள் செய்தவைகள் உபதேசித்தவைகள் யாவையும் அவருக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்.

நகரத்தின் மதிலுக்குப் பன்னிரண்டு அஸ்திபாரக் கற்களிருந்தன; அவைகள்மேல் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருடைய பன்னிரண்டு அப்போஸ்தலரின் பன்னிரண்டு நாமங்களும் பதிந்திருந்தன.

அவர் தம்முடைய பன்னிரண்டு சீஷரையும் வரவழைத்து, சகல பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்தவும், வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைக் குணமாக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு வல்லமையும் அதிகாரமும் கொடுத்து,

ஆதலால் தேவஞானமானது: நான் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும் அப்போஸ்தலர்களையும் அவர்களிடத்தில் அனுப்புவேன்; அவர்களில் சிலரைக் கொலைசெய்து, சிலரைத் துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்;

நீங்கள் என் ராஜ்யத்திலே என் பந்தியில் போஜனபானம்பண்ணி, இஸ்ரவேலின் பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவர்களாய்ச் சிங்காசனங்களின்மேல் உட்காருவீர்கள் என்றார்.

அவர்கள் அங்கே வந்தபோது மேல்வீட்டில் ஏறினார்கள்; அதில் பேதுருவும், யாக்கோபும், யோவானும், அந்திரேயாவும், பிலிப்புவும், தோமாவும், பர்த்தொலொமேயும், மத்தேயும், அல்பேயுவின் குமாரனாகிய யாக்கோபும், செலோத்தே என்னப்பட்ட சீமோனும், யாக்கோபின் சகோதானாகிய யூதாவும் தங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.

அப்போஸ்தலர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளென்பவர்களுடைய அஸ்திபாரத்தின்மேல் கட்டப்பட்டவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; அதற்கு இயேசுகிறிஸ்து தாமே மூலைக்கல்லாயிருக்கிறார்;

மேலும் நாம் அனைவரும் தேவனுடைய குமாரனைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்திலும் அறிவிலும் ஒருமைப்பட்டவர்களாகி, கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய நிறைவான வளர்ச்சியின் அளவுக்குத்தக்க பூரண புருஷராகும்வரைக்கும்,

இப்படியிருக்க, பரம அழைப்புக்குப் பங்குள்ளவர்களாகிய பரிசுத்த சகோதரரே, நாம் அறிக்கைபண்ணுகிற அப்போஸ்தலரும் பிரதான ஆசாரியருமாயிருக்கிற கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைக் கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள்;

பரிசுத்த தீர்க்கதரிசிகளால் முன்சொல்லப்பட்ட வார்த்தைகளையும், இரட்சகாராயிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய அப்போஸ்தலராகிய எங்களுடைய கட்டளைகளையும் நீங்கள் நினைவுகூரும்படி இந்த நிருபங்களினால் உங்கள் உண்மையான மனதை நினைப்பூட்டி எழுப்புகிறேன்.

அன்றியும் ஒரு பெரிய அடையாளம் வானத்திலே காணப்பட்டது; ஒரு ஸ்திரீ சூரியனை அணிந்திருந்தாள், அவள் பாதங்களின் கீழே சந்திரனும், அவள் சிரசின்மேல் பன்னிரண்டு நட்சத்திரங்களுள்ள கிரீடமும் இருந்தன.

பரலோகமே! பரிசுத்தவான்களாகிய அப்போஸ்தலர்களே! தீர்க்கதரிசிகளே! அவளைக்குறித்துக் களிகூருங்கள். உங்கள் நிமித்தம் தேவன் அவளை நியாயந்தீர்த்தாரே! என்று தூதன் சொன்னான்.
