சிம்சோன் அந்த வீட்டைத் தாங்கி நிற்கிற இரண்டு நடுத்தூண்களில், ஒன்றைத் தன் வலதுகையினாலும், மற்றொன்றைத் தன் இடதுகையினாலும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு,

பின்பு கோவிலின் நடுவே கோவிலைத் தாங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த இரண்டு தூண்களையும் சிம்சோன் பற்றிக்கொண்டான். ஒரு தூண் அவனது வலதுபுறமும், இன்னொரு தூண் அவனது இடதுபுறமும் இருக்கும்படி நின்று கொண்டான்.
