குமாரனைக் கனம்பண்ணாதவன் அவரை அனுப்பின பிதாவையும் கனம்பண்ணாதவனாயிருக்கிறான்.

அவர் தேவனுடைய உருவமாக இருந்தும், தேவனுக்குச் சமமாக இருப்பதைக் கொள்ளையாடின பொருளாக நினைக்காமல்,

கிறிஸ்து அவரளவில் எல்லாவற்றிலும் தேவனைப் போன்றிருந்தார். அவர் தேவனுக்கு நிகரானவராயிருந்தார். ஆனால் தேவனுக்குச் சமமாக இருப்பதை கொள்ளையில் கிடைத்த அரிய பொருளாக அவர் நினைத்ததில்லை.
