பிலாத்து மறுபடியும் வெளியே வந்து: நான் இவனிடத்தில் ஒரு குற்றமும் காணேன் என்று நீங்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு, இதோ, உங்களிடத்தில் இவனை வெளியே கொண்டுவருகிறேன் என்றான்.

பிலாத்து மீண்டும் வெளியே வந்து அவர்களிடம், “அவனை நான் உங்கள்முன் வெளியே கூட்டிவருகிறேன், பாருங்கள். அவனிடம் நான் குற்றம் ஒன்றும் காணவில்லை என்பதை அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்” என்றான்.
