ஏசாயா 51:1
நீதியைப் பின்பற்றி, கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிற நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; நீங்கள் வெட்டி எடுக்கப்பட்ட கன்மலையையும், நீங்கள் தோண்டி எடுக்கப்பட்ட துரவின் குழியையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்.

அவனுடைய வீட்டாரை அவன் பேர்பேராக வரச்செய்தபோது, யூதா கோத்திரத்தின் சேராகின் மகனாகிய சப்திக்குப் பிறந்த கர்மீயின் மகன் ஆகான் குறிக்கப்பட்டான்.

யோசுவா அக்குடும்பத்தின் ஆண்களையெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன் வருமாறு கூறினான். கர்த்தர் கர்மீயின் மகன் ஆகானைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார். (கர்மீ சிம்ரியின் மகன், சிம்ரி சேராவின் மகன்.)
