ஏசாயா 39:2
எசேக்கியா அவர்களைக் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, தன் பொக்கிஷசாலையையும், வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், நல்ல பரிமளதைலத்தையும் தன் ஆயுதசாலை அனைத்தையும், தன் பொக்கிஷசாலைகளில் உள்ளதெல்லாவற்றையும் அவர்களுக்குக் காண்பித்தான்; எசேக்கியா தன் அரமனையிலும், தன் ராஜ்யத்திலேயும் அவர்களுக்குக் காண்பியாதப் பொருள் ஒன்றும் இல்லை.

அவனோடு இருந்த யுத்த மக்கள் எல்லோரும் நடந்து, பட்டணத்திற்கு அருகே வந்துசேர்ந்து, ஆயிக்கு வடக்கே முகாமிட்டார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கும் ஆயிக்கும் நடுவே ஒரு பள்ளத்தாக்கு இருந்தது.

யோசுவாவோடிருந்த எல்லா வீரர்களும் ஆயீக்கு நேராக அணிவகுத்துச் சென்று நகரத்திற்கு முன்னே சென்று நின்றனர். நகரத்திற்கு வடக்கே படை முகாமிட்டது. பாளையத்திற்கும் ஆயீக்கும் நடுவே ஒரு பள்ளத்தாக்கு இருந்தது.
