என் ஜனம் சமாதான தாபரங்களிலும், நிலையான வாசஸ்தலங்களிலும், அமைதியாய்த் தங்கும் இடங்களிலும் குடியிருக்கும்.

கிழக்குவாசலைக் காக்கிற இம்னாவின் மகனாகிய கோரே என்னும் லேவியன், கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தப்பட்ட காணிக்கைகளையும் மகா பரிசுத்தமானவைகளையும் பங்கிட, தேவனுக்கு செலுத்தும் உற்சாகக் காணிக்கைகள்மேல் அதிகாரியாயிருந்தான்.

அக்காலத்தில் நான் அவர்களுக்காகக் காட்டு மிருகங்களோடும், ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளோடும், பூமியிலே ஊரும் பிராணிகளோடும், ஒரு உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணி, வில்லையும் பட்டயத்தையும் யுத்தத்தையும் தேசத்திலே இராதபடிக்கு முறித்து, அவர்களைச் சுகமாய்ப் படுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

நான் வெண்கலத்துக்குப் பதிலாகப் பொன்னையும், இரும்புக்குப் பதிலாக வெள்ளியையும், மரங்களுக்குப் பதிலாக வெண்கலத்தையும், கற்களுக்குப் பதிலாக இரும்பையும், வரப்பண்ணி, உன் கண்காணிகளைச் சமாதானமுள்ளவர்களும், உன் தண்டற்காரரை நீதியுள்ளவர்களுமாக்குவேன்.

நான் அவர்களோடு சமாதான உடன்படிக்கைசெய்து, துஷ்ட மிருகங்களȠதேசத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு ஒழியப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவர்கள் சுகமாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் தாபரித்து, காடுகளில் நித்திரைபண்ணுவார்கள்.

நம்முடைய பண்டிகைகள் ஆசரிக்கப்படும் நகரமாகிய சீயோனை நோக்கிப்பார்; உன் கண்கள் எருசலேமை அமரிக்கையான தாபரமாகவும் பெயர்க்கப்படாத கூடாரமாகவும் காணும்; இனி அதின் முளைகள் என்றைக்கும் பிடுங்கப்படுவதுமில்லை, அதின் கயிறுகளில் ஒன்றும் அறுந்து போவதுமில்லை.

அங்கே சிங்கம் இருப்பதில்லை; துஷ்டமிருகம் அங்கே போவதுமில்லை, அங்கே காணப்படவுமாட்டாது; மீட்கப்பட்டவர்களே அதில் நடப்பார்கள்.

இதோ, நாட்கள் வருமென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார், அப்பொழுது தாவீதுக்கு ஒரு நீதியுள்ள கிளையை எழும்பப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவர் ராஜாவாயிருந்து ஞானமாய் ராஜரிகம்பண்ணி, பூமியிலே நியாயத்தையும் நீதியையும் நடப்பிப்பார்.

அந்நாட்களில் யூதா இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டு, எருசலேம் சுகமாய்த் தங்கும்; அவர் எங்கள் நீதியாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தர் என்பது அவருடைய நாமம்.

பிற்பாடு மகிமையுண்டாகுமென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; உங்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்ட ஜாதிகளிடத்துக்கு என்னை அனுப்பினார்; உங்களைத் தொடுகிறவன் அவருடைய கண்மணியைத் தொடுகிறான்.

ஆகையால், தேவனுடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுகிற காலம் இனிவருகிறதாயிருக்கிறது.

தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்திருக்கிற அன்பை நாம் அறிந்து விசுவாசித்திருக்கிறோம். தேவன் அன்பாகவே இருக்கிறார்; அன்பில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறவன் தேவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான், தேவனும் அவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்.
