பலத்த ஆடுகள் பொலியும்போது, அந்தக் கொப்புகளுக்கு எதிரே பொலியும்படி யாக்கோபு அவைகளை அந்த ஆடுகளின் கண்களின் முன்பாகக் கால்வாய்களிலே போட்டுவைப்பான்.

அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பூல், தேசத்திற்கு விரோதமாக வந்தான்; அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் பூலின் உதவியினால் அரசாட்சியை தன் கையில் பலப்படுத்துவதற்காக, அவனுக்கு ஆயிரம் தாலந்து வெள்ளி கொடுத்தான்.

அசீரியாவின் அரசனான பூல், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு எதிராகப் போரிடவந்தான். மெனாகேம் அவனுக்கு 75,000 பவுண்டு வெள்ளியைக் கொடுத்தான். இவ்வாறு கொடுத்ததன் மூலம் பூலின் உதவியைப் பெற்று தனது அரசை வலுப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான்.
