அவன் மோவாபியரையும் முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைத் தரைமட்டும் பணியப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள்மேல் நூல்போட்டு, இரண்டுபங்கு மனுஷரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, ஒரு பங்கை உயிரோடே வைத்தான்; இவ்விதமாய் மோவாபியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து, அவனுக்குக் கப்பங்கட்டுகிறவர்களானார்கள்.

அவன் மோவாபியர்களையும் முறியடித்து, அவர்களைத் தரையிலே படுக்கச்செய்து, அவர்கள்மேல் நூல்போட்டு அளவெடுத்து இரண்டு வரிசை மனிதர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, ஒரு வரிசை மனிதர்களை உயிரோடு வைத்தான்; இவ்விதமாக மோவாபியர்கள் தாவீதுக்குச் சேவை செய்து, அவனுக்குக் கப்பங்கட்டுகிறவர்களானார்கள்.

மோவாபின் ஜனங்களையும் தாவீது தோற்கடித்தான். அவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் தரை மட்டும் பணியச் செய்தான். பின் அவர்களை வரிசைகளாக ஒரு கயிற்றினால் பிரித்தான். அவர்களில் இரண்டு வரிசை ஆட்களைக் கொன்றான். மூன்றாவது வரிசை ஆட்களை உயிரோடுவிட்டான். இவ்விதமாக மோவாபின் ஜனங்கள் தாவீதின் பணியாட்களாயினர். அவர்கள் தாவீதுக்கு கப்பம் கட்டினார்கள்.
