וְאֶת Makkedah, veh-ET מַקֵּדָה֩ took ma-kay-DA לָכַ֨ד Joshua la-HAHD יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ day yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah בַּיּ֣וֹם And BA-yome הַה֗וּא that ha-HOO וַיַּכֶּ֣הָ and va-ya-KEH-ha לְפִי smote leh-FEE חֶרֶב֮ it heh-REV וְאֶת with veh-ET מַלְכָּהּ֒ the mahl-KA הֶֽחֱרִ֣ם edge heh-hay-REEM אוֹתָ֗ם the oh-TAHM וְאֶת sword, veh-ET כָּל of kahl הַנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ and ha-NEH-FESH אֲשֶׁר the uh-SHER בָּ֔הּ king ba לֹ֥א thereof loh הִשְׁאִ֖יר he heesh-EER שָׂרִ֑יד destroyed, sa-REED וַיַּ֙עַשׂ֙ utterly va-YA-AS לְמֶ֣לֶךְ them, leh-MEH-lek מַקֵּדָ֔ה and ma-kay-DA כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר all ka-uh-SHER עָשָׂ֖ה souls ah-SA לְמֶ֥לֶךְ the leh-MEH-lek יְרִיחֽוֹ׃ that yeh-ree-HOH
