ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਮਸੂਹ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ 20 ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵਡੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ।

ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਅਸੀਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹੇਗਾ।”

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਇਤਹਾਸ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਬਲਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਾ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਸ਼ਬੇਲ, ਤੀਜਾ ਅਹਰਹ ਸੀ।
